Last commune of Indre-et-Loire before Indre, in the south, and Vienne, in the west, Yzeures-sur-Creuse is also one of the oldest villages of Touraine. The first traces of civilisation date back to the Palaeolithic period. A rich past to be discovered at the Minerve Museum which presents the results of archaeological excavations. The birth here of Mado Robin, one of the most famous singers of the 20th century, is the pride of the village which continues to honour her memory through a museum. On foot or by bike, visit the Creuse valley and the nearby spa town of La Roche-Posay. Finally, don't miss the Yzeures N'Rock festival on the first weekend of August.
