The name comes from Louise de La Baume Le Blanc, duchess of La Vallière, whose family castle is in Reugny and who was a favourite of Louis XIV, of whom she had two children, before entering the carmel. Before that, she received from her beloved Sun King this modest estate, the Château de Vaujours. See Notre-Dame church, Saint-Nicolas chapel and the Grand-Maison, an 18th century dwelling, which now houses the town hall. The rural commune is rich in industrial and tourist heritage. You will find it at the crossroads of Anjou and Touraine in the northwest of the department of Indre-et-Loire, in the Centre-Val de Loire Region. Surrounded by an immense forest, and near its lake, Château-la-Vallière invites you to come and enjoy a preserved setting. You will find a beach and many forest walks. It is also the ideal starting point for discovering the deep Touraine. Don't hesitate any longer!
