LA CLOTZE

1 review

This restaurant is located in the Val Ferret, a few kilometres from the centre of Courmayeur, close to the cross-country ski slopes. His name is the name of the bell that the cows wear around their necks. For the record, it was the grandchildren who took over their grandparents' restaurant, whose best recipes they jealously guard, sometimes revisiting them anyway. The flavours are really those of the territory, both in the dishes that are Piedmontese or Valle d'Aosta and in the ingredients used, which all come from the surrounding area!

This mountain restaurant, which you'd visit only for its traditional decor featuring objects used to make butter or cheese, is well worth the detour. The raw materials used to concoct the dishes are rigorously sourced from local producers. It's hard to choose: gnocchi or Grand Paradis soup? Fondue, raclette or reblochon?
