The airport is open to general aviation but has no commercial traffic.

Courmayeur can easily be reached with the bus company "Flixbus" from Paris (from 15 €), Dijon (from 11 €) and Chamonix-Mont-Blanc (from 5 €) in France, but also from the Swiss cities of Geneva and Lausanne from 8 € and Berne from 12 €. The stop is in the centre of the town, opposite the tourist office. From this place, many buses of the local company (SAVDA) also leave for Chamonix on one side and for the slopes of Plan Checrouit, Morgex, La Salle, Villeneuve, Saint-Pierre, Sarre and Aoste on the other. The service is active from 6.15 am to 9.35 pm, with a bus every hour, except for Chamonix (4 runs per day).

The ticket office at Aosta bus station only sells tickets for SAVDA coaches (regional or national) and FlixBus (only for Italian destinations). Tickets for FlixBus to foreign destinations and Eurolines can be booked online or at the ticket office. Tickets for SVAP (urban) and La Vita buses can be purchased either directly on board, or at newsagents, tobacconists and bars in Aosta.
