We are not at the hotel, we are at the Bistrot. It is certainly the restaurant of the Hotel Ibis Lyon Nord, enjoying an exceptional situation just a few minutes from the city centre with quick access via the A 6 (secure and free parking), but in a renovated and charming setting, the hotel is quickly forgotten to enjoy only the restaurant. From the entrance you can see the swimming pool where you can get refreshed, before you discover a cheerful room where you feel at ease. The other of the establishment is its terrrasse in the inner courtyard, sheltered from all noise in a small corner of greenery. Of course, we cannot miss the famous hors d'oeuvre buffet found in every Ibis, but the map offers more regional specialities to discover: Lyon salad, andouilette "Bobosse" to mustard seed, half-saint-marcellin of Mother Richard, to finish on an icy nougat. The choice is wide and makes it possible to satisfy all the desires, in a restaurant that can welcome all types of family and professional events.

Ten minutes from Roanne, in a green setting with panoramic views of lake Villerest and next to the train. You will be welcomed in the beautifully decorated room of 40 seats, in the panoramic dining room of 60 seats or on the terrace of 60 seats. At noon, you will find the menu with starter, main course and dish of desserts for the buffet (not at will), with a glass of wine and coffee. The other meals, you can choose between the ham boards with its bread or salad of fourme and smoked duck breast, then a pike soufflé shellfish sauce or the board (Charolais steak Charolais) natural, Roquefort sauce or pepper and of course, the famous frogs of Edith® where the gourmands will be served back with pleasure, then comes the plate of cheese and desserts for the buffet (for pleasure and respect of all, the buffet is not at will). Ideal for family gatherings and organised groups, do not hesitate to contact them in order to set you up for the organisation of the day and the appropriate menu. An address that has taken some time to enter our guide, but we can no longer separate after having tasted. André Melkonyan offers us in his eponymous restaurant a cuisine with the Mediterranean flavours in a room tastefully decorated, where you can feel well at noon with work colleagues, and in the evening with your lover. Daily special carefully prepared in the well-presented dishes and the menu with oriental flavours, with a preference for Armenian cuisine that offers us excellent keuftés, slightly spicy meatballs, with a traditional bulgur. As a starter at €4.50: tabbouleh, vine leaves stuffed with rice and tarama, with an Azur plate that gathers all for €10. For the main course, we recommend a whole aubergine stuffed with meat and finally, the noodles or a famous Greek yoghurt with honey or confit violet petals... Simply adorable service for a really exotic address.

If you have the right idea to stop in this small family restaurant, you will have the chance to discover the delicious cuisine of Jérôme Pelossier Baron. Greeted with a smile, you will find a regularly renewed map offering healthy, refined and seasonal dishes: appetizers, candied gizzards salad and its toast to Ambert D, seabream filet with sesame seeds, braised sauce sauce morels sauce and to finish a fruity fruit or ice pie. This really is not the case! In a room or outside, in a very beautiful backyard, a clientele of accustomed people comes regularly to eat so why not you?

Opposite Châteaucreux railway station, la Taverne de Maître Kanter has a large restaurant with a nice terrace to welcome travelers. In the plate, traditional Alsatian dishes: sauerkraut and flammeküeches to be enjoyed with a good beer of course! You can of course prefer a salad, a mussel casserole or a burger. What does not change too much is the map, of course keeping the principle of wok, decreasing its buffet offer in a choice of vegetables, meat and fish. The recipe does not date yesterday and it is quite healthy and good. Also, a few dishes to vary pleasures: Udon noodles, coconut saté, US burger (one needed one), salads, for termienr with creamy creamy cream waffles. Not what to jump to the ceiling, but an exotic set that keeps the road.

On the road of the Golden Mountains, in a district full of vitality at midday, the moment is next to a bakery that makes the full sandwiches… But why, as good be sandwiches, all these people do not take the time to enter this haven of peace with the chic bistro decor with its sliding walls, its paintings, its bar and, above all, its terrace in the inner courtyard, a little paradise in this neighborhood. An address full of warmth, with warm colours and jazzy touches, Le Petit Carron offers great moments of greed to share with your lover or in groups (the establishment organises group meals during tourist travels, seminars or family events). At Le Petit Carron, you feel "like home". In a cosy dining room, on the mezzanine or on the charming summer terrace, you can enjoy a top quality traditional French cuisine, a refined cuisine which, mastering its classic dishes, adds a slight touch of liveliness on a wide fish and meat list: homemade foie gras in mendiant way, farmhouse bread or a salmon marinated with herbs and langoustine oil; then, a pan-fried veal cutlet with chanterelles, a crusty sweetbread with simple truffle juice, a beef fillet with morels or a Rossini cod loin. Always interesting suggestions of season and slate of sweets, including the famous "Redoutable", the homemade dessert par excellence with its molten chocolate. A smart address rocked by blues notes.

It was in 1954 that Vital Pignol, a young boy from Saint-Etienne, set up a cake shop at the 17 of Rue Emile Zola, right next to the emblematic Place Bellecour. More than 60 years later, Maison Pignol has changed but the address has remained. Pignol, the caterer of choice, has become synonymous with exceptional receptions and now has 7 restaurants and shops, employing some 160 employees. This great house has, however, kept its soul and it is still enlivened by enthusiasts and demanding professionals like Jean-Paul Pignol. What is truly outstanding is that this shop never rests on its laurels, always offering new creations at any occasion, always seeking to do the best! At this "historic" address, Pignol offers us a cake shop, but also a restaurant on the two floors of the Pignol family's former flat! All in all, four different rooms, from the bistro atmosphere to the kitchen via the intimate lounge, to enjoy seasonal dishes that are different every day - such as this perch fillet in the heart of summer -, well composed salads with fresh produce, and of course, the wonderful homemade pastries. An address that is part of the city's gourmet heritage.
