Wine estates Provence-Alpes-Côte D'Azur

Since its purchase in 2007 by Jean-Marie Zodo, the estate, committed to organic farming, whose 17 hectares of vines in A.O.P. Côtes-de-provence embrace the hillsides of Gassin and La Croix Valmer and go down to the beach of Gigaro, does not cease to improve and to glean medals and distinctions in the contests. The Claire and Charlotte vintages have become a must in the region. Local quality products, vinegar, olive oil, anchovy paste, honey "Les abeilles de Grimaud", jam, gingerbread, are on sale at the cellar.

Cabasse, or Casa Bassa in Italian, which translates as house under the village, also means that the estate's roots go back to the ^14th century. Alfred, Antoinette Haeni and their son Nicolas run a 15-hectare vineyard using integrated farming methods. Their wines are "ripe, supple and fleshy", like the rosé de Marie-Antoinette Séguret Côtes du Rhône villages, made by bleeding, balanced, round and fresh. Domaine de Cabasse is also a 3-star hotel.

Along with Clos Mireille (located in La Londe-les-Maures) and Château Romassan (Le Castellet), Château de Selle is one of the three properties that make up Domaines Ott*. A former residence of the Counts of Provence, Château de Selle acquired a new winery in 2017, which in itself constitutes a wine tourism visit. With 84 hectares of vineyards, the property produces a rosé of exquisite finesse and texture, as well as a racy and elegant red.

This vast estate represents a unique space of nearly 200 hectares that is both a wine production and an art and architecture museum. Heir to a long history, illustrated by the presence of Gallo-Roman paved paths and other vestiges of an ancient irrigation system, the wine estate offers organic wines certified Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence and IGP des Portes de Méditerranée. At Château la Coste, you can visit the cellars designed by Jean Nouvel, discover artists' installations or sit down in one of the estate's restaurants.

The estate is located on a former Templar commandery, but its name is inspired by the witches(lei masco in Provençal) who used to come here to gather medicinal plants. 25 hectares of vines on a magnificent estate of some 145 hectares and wines with personality. There is also a green olive oil with an artichoke taste. Organic products to be discovered at the domain or in some wine shops or delicatessens and at the table of many good restaurants. Anne and Pierre Chancel have started a new life by creating, 4 years ago, this preserved domain of 30 hectares at the foot of the Ventoux (12 hectares cultivated in organic way surrounded by 12 hectares of wood). Their first vintages are promising in the 3 colors and already on the best tables in Paris and the region. The hilly estate offers superb views with a marked circuit called "Chemin Sensationnel", a stroll marked out with activities (well-being workshops, readings) which ends with a picnic and wine tasting. A must see.

The estate extends over the communes of Villecroze, Flayosc and Tourtour whose appellations are respectively classified as AOP Coteaux-Varois en Provence, Côtes-de-Provence and IGP Coteaux du Verdon. We are in the heart of the Haut-Var-Verdon Regional Nature Park, and access from the main road to the 340-hectare estate (40 of which are planted vines) is a pure pleasure. At an altitude of 400 metres, you cross the undergrowth and enter the heart of the limestone and clay soils, before discovering the grandiose concrete cellar with its cathedral-like appearance.

From the 10thto the 18th century, the monks of Lérins built an underground cellar in which the wines still mature in the best conditions. Cru Classé in Côtes-de-Provence, the estate produces complex and refined wines, owned by the same family since 1740, it has almost always been run by women, today by Countess Adeline de Barry. It also produces premium artisanal spirits. Don't miss Vivinospirit Experiences, the monthly events held at the Château, especially the Festival Rire en Vigne in July.

A superb ^18th-century bastide overlooking the 10-hectare vineyard estate, Château Bonisson produces an AOP Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence wine. Since 2017, the Le Dorze family has developed it according to their own values of quality, authenticity and sharing. It is the daughter, Victoire who manages the estate, she made the choice of organic farming, using the horse to plow the rows and makes the harvest entirely by hand. And her father, Christian, the Bonisson Art Center which offers free and regular exhibitions of modern art.

The Domaine's 112 ha stretch at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail, with breathtaking views of the Dentelles and the Ventoux. Coyeux benefits from an exceptional terroir and high-altitude climate. The result is top-of-the-range, aromatic and elegant wines: muscats, red Beaumes and Gigondas and a dry, floral white wine. Try your hand at wine tasting with a cellar master or sommelier in the brand-new sales cellar. Stroll the vineyard's signposted GR trails with a picnic lunch, or explore the countryside on horseback or mountain bike.

At the foot of the Grand Luberon, north of Aix-en-Provence, Château Val Joanis covers 400 hectares of preserved nature with 110 hectares of vines planted between pine and olive trees. The great diversity of the terroirs (limestone, pebbles, red clay) allows us to produce rich and elegant reds, fine and racy whites and fresh and tasty rosés. Here wines rhyme with conviviality, especially in summer with the Apéros de Val Jo and the Festival Les Musicales dans les Vignes de Provence. The gardens classified as "Remarkable Gardens" are worth a visit.

The story of Les Tournels began in 1920, when L. Bologna fell in love with a piece of land... after several generations of hard work and passion, this 110-hectare property would become the Domaine des Tournels: a vineyard of character where rosé is king. Located in Ramatuelle on the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, Domaine des Tournels overlooks the famous Pampelonne beach. Set between the sea and the hills, its sandy-loam and schist terroir is a rich combination that produces elegant, fresh and lively wines. An address not to be missed!

"I came here to cultivate the AUTHENTIC..." wrote Marcel Pagnol. A perfect slogan! The 149-hectare estate, including 32 hectares of vines, 17 of olive groves and 100 of Mediterranean forest, is located in the Maures plain, on a site protected for its exceptional flora and fauna. A ^15th-century sheepfold has been converted into a winery, which is now the sales cellar. The estate has been producing certified organic wines since 2015 in AOP Côtes de Provence and Côtes de Provence Notre-Dame des Anges, following in the footsteps of its certified organic olive oils from the outset.

Initially owned by the Templar order, it is one of the oldest vineyards in France. Classified growth since 1953, this immense wine estate of 130 ha, classified growth in Côte de Provence, of which 90 ha are vines in one piece, is exploited by Valérie Rousselle and her children.
