Wine estates Provence-Alpes-Côte D'Azur

This family farm takes its name from a large wine-growing operation built by the Romans, as evidenced by the remains of the "Villa du Loou" which can be seen on the road to the field. The vineyard, planted with a single holding, classified as a Coteaux-varois-en-Provence controlled appellation of origin, extends over 60 hectares. The area, which practices organic farming, produces seven wines in the 3 colors, including the Red Vines, a high quality premium wine.

The profusion of this area of 32 hectares of one holding, of which 30 hectares of vines, property the Demonceaux family since 2014, is made up of seven different varieties, Rolle, Grenache, cinsault, cabernet-sauvignon, syrah, sémillon and viognier. The grapes are entirely manual and the vinification is traditional. 1 silver medal was obtained in 2016 at the general agricultural competition in Paris, for the Cuvée Rosé 2015. The area also offers a small production of olive oil.

Between Mount Aurélien and Sainte-Victoire, the Château de Pourcieux, an 18th century architectural ensemble, has belonged to the Marquis d'Espagnet family since its origin. Since 1986, Michel d'Espagnet has maintained the winegrowing vocation of the château, joined first by his son Rémi in the winemaking department, and then more recently by his daughter Alix in the marketing department. With approximately 30 hectares, the estate, certified High Environmental Value (HVE), cultivates a link between tradition and modernity of its wines thanks in particular to the creation of a new cellar in 2017.

The family estate stretches at the foot of the Ventoux's southern slope over some 100 hectares, farmed biodynamically since 2015. It frequently wins awards, and the honors go to the expertise of its passionate owners, Alexandre and Frédéric Chaudière. Quintessence, made from vines over 50 years old and aged in oak barrels, is available in red, white and rosé. Also Les Terrasses rosé or red and Cuvée Artemia. The Domaine de la Croix is part of the very closed club of classified growths of Provence. The 110-hectare vineyard enjoys a privileged location, with vines spread between the village of La Croix-Valmer, the beach of Gigaro and the fabulous site of the Bastide Blanche. These terroirs enjoy natural assets that give the wines of Domaine de la Croix a natural elegance. Between Tour-d'Aigues and Mirabeau, the estate is situated at an altitude of some 350 m in the foothills of the Luberon. Located just outside the village of Mirabeau, Château de Clapier has been a family estate since 1880, covering 35 hectares. Here, Thomas Montagne creates 12 AOP Luberon wines, such as cuvée Soprano, a unique blend of Syrah, Grenache noir and Pinot noir (Gold Medal at the Concours des Grands Vins de Mâcon). Exploited by the same family since its creation in 1850, the parcels of the estate are located on 3 types of soil: stony clayey limestone - clayey slopes and terraces and sandy. Of its 80 hectares of vines, the average age of which ranges from 40-60 years for the Syrah, some Grenache vines are between 80 and 100 years old. The estate produces cuvees in Vacqueyras and Gigondas, Côtes-du-Rhône in all three colours and Beaumes-de-Venise. This discreet house deserves to be better known. This family estate of 13 hectares of vines, created around 1858, is located on an exceptional south and south-west facing terroir, between Pierrefeu and Collobrières, in the Côtes-de-Provence Pierrefeu appellation area. Philippe and Pascale Blancard, dynamic winegrowers, regularly organise events, picnics and open days to promote their wines. They also have an apple orchard with 8 varieties of apples, open for picking every year on weekends from the end of August and produce a 100% pure apple juice.

In 2017, Chateau Margüi joins the collection of George Lucas' wineries. The "Skywalker Vineyards" includes three vineyards established in California, Umbria and Provence. The estate is composed of 17 hectares of vineyards, 5 hectares of olive trees and 65 hectares of forest. The vineyards are organically farmed and fed by three natural water sources. The cellar, organized on three levels, was renovated in 2018. The wines, AOP Coteaux varois en Provence, are offered in two ranges: the emblematic Château and the more confidential Bastide 1784.

Owned by the Monier de Saint-Estève family since 1809, the estate is built around a fine ^19th-century architectural ensemble. Former trumpet player, the owner Marcus Conrad, chose the oenologist Jérôme Dufour to accompany him and create superb AOP Cotes de Provence and IGP Pays des Maures wines in the 3 colours. The estate is located at the limit of the Tour d'Aigues on the RD 973, to access it take the direction of La Bastidonne-Mirabeau, it is then well signposted. The family estate has been run for 5 generations by Nicolas Bontoux, assisted by his children Émile, Louise and Joseph, who, with the same determination and drive, develop new cuvées (silver medal at the Paris agricultural competition, and gold medal at the Lyon 2024 competition); as well as artisanal products grown on the vineyard, such as honey and olive oil. This estate on the Crau plain is a very special place. Here, vines, wheat, barley and olives are grown. Wine and beer are produced, as well as fruit, vegetables and aromatic plants. Owned by the Rouy family, this vineyard nestling between the Sainte-Victoire and Sainte-Baume regions applies very rigorous cultivation methods to get the most out of it. The grape varieties are diversified, Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Vermentino and Ugni Blanc. It is also a castle that dominates the village, set on a rocky spur at an altitude of nearly 400 metres. Its lounges, its medieval vaulted cellar and its gardens lend themselves to receptions. This former residence of the bishops of Apt, the rock-built Château de Mille, is well worth a visit, both for the magnificent site and for the estate's wines. Stretching over 42 hectares of clay-limestone hillside land in a single block, between Carcès and Montfort-sur-Argens, the Domaine de l'Estan, worked in sustainable agriculture and certified High Environmental Value (HVE), has been run as a family business for four generations. The Bataille family, independent winegrowers, produce typical red, rosé and white Côtes de Provence PDO wines from six grape varieties, Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Vermentino and Carignan, which benefit from a privileged south-facing exposure.

Romain Dol represents the^5th generation on this Le Novi estate, which means " the newlyweds" in Provençal. This 30-hectare vineyard is organically farmed and planted with 15 traditional Mediterranean grape varieties, including a few old, late and Provençal varieties. It produces AOP Luberon wines in all 3 colors, with 40% whites and 2 rosés; elegant, delicate wines of character, full of freshness and minerality. The cuvées include Mr Brun and Landolfi, 2 natural wines with no added sulfur.

In this 10-hectare AOP Côtes de Provence vineyard, Serge and Sébastien Ramella strive to cultivate the authentic, in the purest respect of the organic charter. Their wines, in the three colours, can be tasted in their shop located in the village centre. The Ramella family is also a family of beekeepers for 3 generations, which proposes to you to discover its honeys of rosemary, acacia, heather, chestnut tree, thyme, lavender, arbutus and savory. Éouve is the Provençal name given to the ancestral holm oak. An exceptional terroir.

In 1898, Alfred Jamet, winemaker and blacksmith, became owner of the Clos Val'Ouri estate and acquired a few parcels of vines in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape area. He quickly realized the richness of the terroir he had just acquired. Today, the torch is passed on to Eric and his daughter Léa, who wish to perpetuate the family values. They manage the land, and have also created the Caves Jamet Le Sang du Peuple denomination, a must-have cuvée.

On the slopes of the Dentelles de Montmirail,Franck Alexandre, winegrower from father to son for 5 generations (1838), will not hesitate to take you on a tour of his vineyard and the 13 grape varieties that make the wines of Gigondas so special. The dominant grape is Grenache which makes it so powerful, so shimmering and so full-bodied. With its aromatic finesse and its notes of red fruits, it is a wine that ages well, to keep for 10 years in your cellar without moving.

The estate is located in Vacqueyras on 25 hectares of vines. 10th generation working the land. Today the winegrower produces two cuvées a year: the cuvée Classique and the cuvée Vieilles Vignes. He counts on more fruit, freshness and being able to be drunk young. The "Classique" cuvée is an aromatic wine with notes of red fruits and spices, the "Vieilles Vignes" cuvée is a powerful wine with supple tannins, aromas of ripe fruits and candied fruits.

Nathalie Reynaud has had the wind in her sails since she took over the reins of the family estate in 2010. Dynamic and enthusiastic, Nathalie never ceases to enhance her 18 hectares of vines at Chateauneuf-du-Pape. Harvesting is manual and pressing is done on the spot. The Abbé Dine is available in red and white in Chateauneuf du Pape and Côtes du Rhône, also a rosé in vin de pays.

Short circuits, hello! Hélène and André Sabatier, organic wine and olive oil producers since 2000, created this beautiful Maison de Pays association to honor the producers and the know-how of the surrounding villages. Today, it is their son Arnaud who has taken over the reins of the domain, and the passion remains. In addition to the wines in the three colors, the Maison de Pays offers local crafts and organic products.

The river Issole runs through this single vineyard, which covers 140 hectares, including 56 hectares of vines. A cellar dating back to 1896 is completed by a new winery which was built in 2012. The typical Côtes-de-Provence grape varieties: Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Ugni Blanc and Rolle produce high quality AOP Côtes-de-Provence and IGP Vin de Pays des Maures wines, which can be tasted in the sales cellar, which is housed in a medieval building, as well as in two old 19th century ceramic vats.

Philippe and Marie-Hélène Grammont manage this 6.5-hectare estate located in green Provence. In a landscape with an air of Tuscany, the 18th century bastide is surrounded by vines, olive trees and cypresses. 11 different grape varieties are cultivated in integrated agriculture with vinification on the estate. It is one of the most medal-winning estates in France. The estate produces AOP Provence rosé and red wines and local white wines. Valcolombe is particularly renowned for its Baroque cuvée, aged in oak barrels from the Tronçais forest and from Missouri.

This vineyard covers 21 hectares, with a particularly favourable soil. The wines produced, all of which are certified organic, from Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, Carignan, Counoise and Mourvèdre grapes, are elegant and high quality. Éole Tradition is available in all three colours. There is also a white Vermentitude made from 100% vermentino grapes and matured in ovoid concrete vats, a sparkling rosé and the Confidence (white), Caprice (rosé) and Réserve des Gardians (red) vintages, as well as the most prestigious: Léa and le K (100% carignan).
