Beaurenard is one of the jewels in the crown of Châteauneuf-du-Pape in organic culture. Daniel and Frédéric Coulon, joined by Victor and Antonin, have looked after this vineyard in the family for 8 generations. A notarized deed from 1695 mentions Boisrenard which gives its name to their prestige cuvée, the result of a selection of vines aged from 60 to 100 years. Their Rasteau, from the most beautiful hillsides of the region, offers wines that are just as emblematic. Stop by their Musée du Vigneron in Rasteau, the walls are covered with diplomas and medals obtained over a century.

It is the ideal address for those who do not have the time to go around the Bandol vineyards. Here we advise novices for their beginnings in the discovery of the nectar of this nectar, help to choose the ideal bottle, depending on whether it is intended for a man or a woman… and finally we are refining the tastes of connoisseurs to make them discover a bottle more appreciated than the previous one. Indeed, this cellar regularly runs its stock by sourcing from new producers. In short, here the advice is paramount, the welcome is charming and the contents of the cellar enchanting. France is the country of wine par excellence, but not all French are amateurs capable of making the difference between a coteaux-en-provence or a Bordeaux! In 1717, Count François de Castellanne, Chevalier Marquis d'Ampuis, land lord of Vacqueyras and its terroirs, donated a plot of vines to an ancestor of the Arnoux family: Pierre Bovis. Since that day, the tradition of the vine and the wine continues. It was Aimé Arnoux who gave this new impetus. Since then, the House has been run successively by his two sons. Today, the vineyard at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail extends over 40 hectares. A wide choice of vintages is on sale, including the Organic Collection.

LES VIGNERONS DU MONT SAINTE VICTOIRE DE PUYLOUBIER

1 review

The most beautiful way to go to the village of Puyloubier is to take the D 17 which runs along the famous mountain Saint Victoire, the well appointed Route Cézanne. Puyloubier and its vineyard offer a delightful landscape. Puyloubier's name comes from «Podium Luperium», the wolves mountain, which attests to the presence of this animal in the past. On the Puyloubier site, we find important Celto Ligurian and Roman remains as well as several chapels of xiith and xiiith century remarkably conserved (Saint-Ser and Saint-Pancrace in particular). The vineyard, located between pine groves and olive groves, extends into the south slope of the Holy Victory. The Cave des Vignerons du Mont Sainte Victoire comprises a hundred winemakers operating 700 hectares of vineyards. The Cellar comprises 80 co-operatives and produces 39,000 hectolitres of wine in AOC Côtes de Provence or AOC Sainte Victoire. Over the generations, these growers have committed themselves to farming environmentally friendly. The wine cellar, engaged in the "Agricultural" certification in the mid -2000 s, is now part of the "Winemakers in Sustainable Development" approach: produce quality wines, lasting, with the greatest respect for men, the environment and consumers.

The cuvines in AOC coast-of-provence:

Confidences: aperitifs, Provençal cuisine.

Red Land Cuvée (red, white, rosé): red meat, gibeers.

Temptation White: white meat, oven fish.

Temptation Rosé: aperitif, grilled fish, grilled fish.

Red Temptation: meats, grills, light cheeses.

In AOC Côtes-de-provence Sainte-Victoire: Sainte-Victoire Rosé (seafood products, Provençal cuisine) and Sainte-Victoire Rouge (small gigs, lamb slice).

Founded in 1924 by a dozen winegrowers, the winery now brings together around a hundred contributors for a cultivated area of 552 hectares in AOP Luberon and IGP Méditerranée appellations. The vineyards stretch across the sun-drenched hillsides of southern Luberon, between 200 and 450 meters above sea level, which has a beneficial effect on the climate: the temperature differences between warm days and cool nights give a fine balance to the white wines (Secret d'un terroir and a Viognier won gold medals at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris) and the light, aromatic rosés. Their red wines are round and fruity, including Secret d'un Terroir and a Cuvée Spéciale that also won an award in 2016. Finally, their Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine in IGP Vaucluse, with its brilliant pale yellow color, promises fine bubbles and citrus and pear aromas on the finish, perfect for pairing with desserts or as an aperitif.

LA SOURCE

Caviste

The new address for wine lovers, more precisely for natural and living wines. A very small, well laid out, uncluttered space, a few industrial shelves with dozens of good references of well-grown and tasty wines. The advice of the house will be able to direct you according to your tastes and preferences. The prices are a little higher than elsewhere but the selection is scrupulous, the references only of quality. Some grocery products on sale to accompany your bottles of wine. A really nice address putting the boulevard Chave a little more on the map of Marseille wines.
