1 review

The Riederer confectionery and pastry shop first became famous in Aix-en-Provence, as Frantz Riederer left his native Switzerland in 1780 to open his first tea shop. From now on, in addition to this address in Marseille, two other Riederer boutiques are located in Gardanne and Aix-en-Provence, to the delight of all the gourmands of the department, where the brand offers the tasty creations of chef Emmanuel Schljck in both pastry and catering. The shop on the Avenue de Mazargues is bright and chic. You can buy excellent chocolate for all occasions. Everything is still produced locally next to Aix.

For 4 generations this company, created in 1880 by Epiphanie, the great-great-grandmother of Sylvie Parent (who currently manages the company) has been at the service of gourmandise. The calisson is the flagship product of the company. Classic, it is available in several flavors and is coated with chocolate at Christmas and Easter. The nougats, another speciality, have pretty names: Mister Nougat Caramel, Madam Victorine, Miss Vanilla, Mister Hard... Fruidoraix, Also the traditional orange blossom shuttles, and shuttles with olives, Espelette pepper or caramel chips. The ancestral recipes are respected but we will not know more, the factory is not visited.

Behind the chilled window of this small shop at the warm welcome we find a large selection of Italian products including all kinds of fresh pasta: stuffed ravioli (roquefort, walnut, ceps…), mixed pasta, gnocchis of potatoes. The cutting at demand of fine slices of fine Parma, mortadella, pancetta, and other coppa, fills the fans of charcuterie. Well known in the world of wine growing, this 5 ha estate produces mostly the famous AOC Vins de Bellet, one of the smallest vineyards in France. Bellet is a rare wine from the south of France, which you can discover at the domaine de la source, in the form of visits and tastings for the connoisseurs. In addition to that, the Dalmasso family also owns some olive trees on the hillside. They produce a typical and tasty Nice PDO oil, with a ripe fruitiness and packaged in small bottles (20 cl and 50 cl).

"A real playground for your taste buds", as they say so well at Sources de Vie! Here we apply the locavore concept: the products come from the Saint-Etienne-du-Grès market where producers and retailers meet three times a week. In season, there are several varieties of strawberries from the region: mara des bois, gariguettes, cléry, for which the Sources de Vie team will explain the specifics. The quality is there, and you won't be disappointed by the melons, courgettes or others always chosen with care.

Closed - Open to 09h00

The Bernard family farm has existed since the end of the 1800s and has been handed down from generation to generation.

After several decades of mixed farming, it was in the 1950s that the grandfather favoured the cultivation of vines. Jacques, his son, began to develop the wine estate by planting numerous plots of vines... In 2008 the first vintage of Domaine La Ligière was born. The vineyard is mainly composed of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre vines, with an average age of about 50 years, and covers 50 hectares of organic farming.

The Château d'Hugues belonged to the Pradier family from 1869 to 1988. Since 2017, it has been under the control of Grégory Payan, who had been the estate's vineyard manager for ten years. Today, the production is in the image of the estate: small quantity but high quality. Difficult then to choose, even if the palate still claims this "Orée des Collines"; power, balance, structure and length for this very pleasant wine - the cuvée has passed through the Côtes-du-Rhône-Villages Massif d'Uchaux). The Grande Réserve Côtes-du-Rhône rouge also deserves a big detour.

The main grape variety is Grenache, to which he adds Counoise, Syrah, Mourvèdre and Cinsault. The blends produce Côtes-du-Rhône wines in all 3 colors: the white as an aperitif, the fruity rosé, the color of winter sunshine, very pleasant on the palate and a perfect accompaniment to summer grilled meats, while the reds are excellent wines for laying down. CAVEAU DES COTEAUX DE GRAMBOIS

Wine and alcohol cooperative
4/5
1 review

Founded in 1924 by a dozen winegrowers, the winery now brings together around a hundred contributors for a cultivated area of 552 hectares in AOP Luberon and IGP Méditerranée appellations. The vineyards stretch across the sun-drenched hillsides of southern Luberon, between 200 and 450 meters above sea level, which has a beneficial effect on the climate: the temperature differences between warm days and cool nights give a fine balance to the white wines (Secret d'un terroir and a Viognier won gold medals at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris) and the light, aromatic rosés. Their red wines are round and fruity, including Secret d'un Terroir and a Cuvée Spéciale that also won an award in 2016. Finally, their Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine in IGP Vaucluse, with its brilliant pale yellow color, promises fine bubbles and citrus and pear aromas on the finish, perfect for pairing with desserts or as an aperitif.
