At every stall, a delicacy. The local producers will let you taste their treasures and share their passion for the land with you. Many of them promote organic farming, which doesn't spoil anything. In addition to the traditional fruit, vegetables and breads, there are also flavours from elsewhere. A delicious mix. The market also welcomes booksellers, leatherworkers and other craftsmen who come to present their art. In fine weather, when the surrounding terraces come to life again, the market is adorned with an incomparable atmosphere.

At the beginning of the 18th century, fishermen's wives sold fish on the Minck, at the foot of the Leughenaer tower and right next to the fishing boats. In 1863, a covered market was built on the Minck. In 1902, a superb building was inaugurated and became the fish market, where the Bazennes (fishermen's wives) boasted the quality of their products. The building did not survive the war, but it is still possible to buy freshly landed fish at unbeatable prices at the aubettes! Four aubettes are regularly open.

Just a few steps from the center of Boulogne-sur-Mer, the fish market is a unique place: along the Gambetta quay, the stalls, held by the fishermen's families, offer live fish and shellfish just off the boat. At the rhythm of the tides, the fishermen unload their fish and shellfish on the quays and sell them directly under the small shelters provided for this purpose. Stalls are open every day, freshness is guaranteed, you can't go wrong. You will find everything!

This semicircular building, consisting of arches, is listed as historical monument. On market days, traders come to display their fresh products over the stone stalls placed under the vault of the building. A must!

The Halles du Beffroi is home to a covered market that brings together 18 traders whose products are already of proven quality. Fishmongers, market gardeners, butchers and fresh fruit and vegetable stalls stand alongside shop windows where the delicious local cheeses are a permanent invitation to succumb! You will also find international grocery stores where Italy and Asia are in the spotlight daily. It's a great place for gourmet shopping, for culinary souvenirs or simply to eat on the go for lunch!

The Wazemmes market is a real institution for the inhabitants of Lille and the surrounding area! A must-see, especially on Sunday mornings, when nearly 400 merchants take over the pavement. How can you resist roast chicken or other tempting specialties? The market also features second-hand goods dealers and second-hand clothes shops offering clothes at unbeatable prices. A popular, cosmopolitan and friendly market, with the teeming terraces of the local cafés and estaminets inviting walkers to take a break.

A concentrate of regional flavours before your very eyes! Hardelot's gourmet Sundays bring together local producers: seasonal vegetables, jams, ciders, fruit juices and farm produce, as well as local honey and artisanal foie gras, and the famous tarte au papin, also known as tarte au libouli! The snails of Choquell and the delicious strawberries of Samer, whose reputation is well established, are also part of the party, enough to satisfy the gourmets!

The Wissant market is a typical market full of charm. In the heart of the fishermen's village, the stalls are interesting: fresh fruit and vegetables, quality clothes, furniture, gadgets for the beach... In the pretty alleys of Wissant, the shopkeepers tease you and call you in a good-natured way. The walk is worthwhile and there is plenty of choice! We really appreciate the night market, on Fridays from the beginning of April to the end of September, on the town hall square reserved for food products.

What a pleasure to shop at the Abbeville covered market! It is there that you will stroll quietly in an always jovial atmosphere and that you will take the time to choose all the products that will be used to make your meals. Fruits, vegetables, cheeses, let yourself be tempted by the mouth-watering colours and smells. Regularly, animations come to brighten up your wanderings. And to finish the walk, treat yourself to a pleasant moment at the bistrot des Halles, for a coffee or a little mousse!

Not one, but two markets! They are held on Wednesday and Saturday morning at Fernand-Marquigny square, as well as in the covered market, the hall and their surroundings. Here's a market well known to residents of the Lille Metropole. Every Wednesday and Saturday, Place Sébastopol becomes the stage for lively plays in which local producers declaim the virtues of their treasures. You'll have the pleasure of seeing butchers, fishmongers, florists, cheesemongers, organic bakers, fruit and vegetable merchants and even caterers presenting their excellent prepared dishes. The market has a friendly, family atmosphere. The latest additions to this festive market include an oyster stand (to take away or enjoy on the spot with a glass of white wine) and a food truck!

The amateurs of the good product and local consumption always meet, on the first Friday of each month in Vervins, at the initiative of the association Thiérache Farmer. A good tourist tool with many animations regularly put in place. Children will, for example, have a chance to approach and caresser biquettes. Of course, tastings are offered and the exhibition openings at the Galerie de l'Hôtel de Ville nourrissent the mind. A real market for mouth products, very pleasant to attend where we discuss and exchange with producers in the region.

In the beautiful setting of the covered market, not far from the bus station, the Vergers Tellier store, a well-known brand in the North, has recently opened. Here, priority is given to local products, from the area. You can find a lot of fruits and vegetables from Cambrai, but also many references of beers, delicacies and other chocolates from the North. It is also possible to buy many cheeses or to make gift baskets, all with a smile!

Welcome to Les Halles de la Maillerie by Biltoki ("the place that brings people together" in Basque), where a team of merry men and women who love sharing and good food are bringing the halles of yesteryear up to date in a rapidly changing district. Conceived as a small village square, these halles bring together 12 local craftsmen and producers of excellence. You'll find Loubati, who makes great burgers and chicken tenders, a truffle delicatessen with Maison Balme, wine merchant Vinimarché and a Lebanese restaurant serving excellent mezzés!

Talents de Ferme is a group of farmers who have decided to bring together in one place the products of their farms. No intermediaries, the producer sells directly to the consumer: this is what we call the short circuit. In this large store, you can shop for fresh produce for the week: meats, fruits and vegetables, dairy products, groceries, and even pastries and ice cream. The plus: farmers are often present in the store to advise you and present their products.

The Dunkirk market is held twice a week, on Saturdays and Wednesdays. The market, which has moved several times, is mainly located on the Place du Général de Gaulle, the Rue des Soeurs-Blanches and the Cours François-Bart. It has between 130 and 160 stalls (depending on the season) on Saturdays (and about 60 stalls on Wednesday mornings), and offers all types of shops and especially small producers. At the time of the carnival, several stands propose all that it is necessary to renovate its clet' che (disguise) or to compose its panoply.

Thiérache fermière invites you every first Friday of the month to a big market gathering many actors of the local agriculture, craftsmen and creators. In high season, the event is held outside, on the beautiful Place du Général de Gaulle and attracts tourists as well as locals. In bad weather or in low season, the event is held in the multipurpose hall, a few steps away. Many producers from the area will satisfy your desires.

This small store with 1 000 smells carries its name: indeed, you will find all the products of the land that you can see on the markets. A complete and rich shop, which will definitely put you in the mouth… We could fill a whole fridge there: fruit and vegetables in the region, cheeses, cold meats, honey, dairy products, jams, poultry and other regional products… Please note that you can park easily in front of the shop. You have only to do… your market!

Every Wednesday afternoon, the Place Vanhoenacker comes alive with a local organic market. Local market gardeners, producers, butchers, fishmongers and bakers all come together to offer you the very best of local produce. Food-trucks offer a gourmet break with quality street food. This is a newcomer to the metropolitan market scene, having only been created in September 2018. But the success is there for all to see, confirming the transformation of the Moulins district.
