The Wazemmes market is a real institution for the inhabitants of Lille and the surrounding area! A must-see, especially on Sunday mornings, when nearly 400 merchants take over the pavement. Que d'animation !
Le dimanche, c'est un marché très animé. On y trouve de tout dans une ambiance très sympathique. Pour se restaurer, il y a du choix mais ne pas hésiter à s'éloigner un tout petit peu de l'agitation, ça vaut le coup.

Incontournable, surtout le dimanche. Immense marché dans et autour des Halles couvertes. Vous y trouverez de tout (fruits, légumes, poissons, fromages, vêtements, bibelots en tout genre) dans une ambiance ultra conviviale.

Le marché de Wazemmes est un grand marché à l'ambiance chaleureuse. Dans la partie couverte on retrouve des étals de viande, poisson, fromage, fruits et légumes propres et rangés. Des stands permettent également de manger sur place. En extérieur c'est un grand bazar où l'on retrouve de tout, jouets, vêtements, bricoles, primeurs, rôtisserie... Les stands s'étendent tout autour du marché couvert et dans les rues environnantes, où l'on retrouve de petits bistrots et leur terrasses invitant les passants à faire une pause.

Les dimanches de beau temps, la place du marché est envahie d'une foule grouillant et cosmopolite venue acheter fruits et légumes, habillement, cosmétique voir le traditionnel poulet rôti dominical ou alors tout simplement pour boire un café ou quelques Karmeliet à l'une des terrasses qui bordent la place du marché. Un moment convivial à partager. Notez que le marché à lieu aussi tous les mardis et jeudis.
