For lovers of more spiritual food, a book market takes place every first Saturday of the month, on the Place de la Gare (Alphonse-Fiquet square), all day long with the complicity of the Amiens town hall. An opportunity to discover some forgotten and untraceable pearls in the trade. Discover world and regional literature and beautiful books. This is the ideal opportunity to acquire classics at attractive prices. Lovers of old things or music are not left out, as there are also old postcards and vinyl records. A moment of cultural conviviality not to be missed!

An alternative market, a little out of the way, a fifteen-minute walk from the station, but above all a real marvel! Run by the genial and willing team behind the store (and canteen) of the same name, every Thursday it's the perfect place to buy local produce, do your shopping and enjoy a drink in the sunshine while listening to one of the many concerts organized here. Saint-Valery does not lack markets! The first one, which takes place on Wednesdays on the quai de l'Amiral Courbet, is more limited. The second one, an essential local meeting place, takes place every Sunday morning on the Place des Pilotes. You can find seasonal arrivals and specialties such as bisteux (a dish made of potatoes and meat from salted meadow lambs). Not to mention the craft and local market held on Friday afternoons from early June to late September. A great opportunity to discover the Somme in another way!
