ST. GERMAIN ISLAND PARK

Natural Crafts
4.6/5
27 reviews
Open - Close to 17h00

The Tower in the figures of Jean Dubuffet, which is seen from each bank of the Seine, dominates the 21.5 ha of the park's surface with its vivid colors. The gardens are planned to allow the natural development of vegetation to promote the appearance of spontaneous plant species and protect wildlife. With a little luck, you can see the Martin fisherman. You can also see the vegetal wall installed on the back façade of the old bakery on the island. In short, it is the ideal place to get the illusion of being in the countryside. There are walks, sportsmen, families, strollers and beautiful days, the lawn is dressed by a population that is bronze, quite simply. Finally, throughout the year, the park becomes the theater of cultural events: concerts, carnival party. Nearby, Ile Seguin, which turns at high speed. Many spectators from the "Seine Musicale" walk before or after, with the same interest in these places.

THE PATH OF ROSES

Natural Crafts
4/5
1 review

It's nice to walk in nature, take the time to look around, without a noise. The Roses Road, a wooded reserve of 17 hectares, is one of the 18 sensitive natural spaces open to the public by the General Council. The start of the promenade starts in Servon and extends over 16 km. You will pass through the communes of Brie-Comte-Robert, Grisy-Suines, Coubert, Soignolles-en-Brie, Coubert and Yèbles. The last segment between Coubert and Yeblès was inaugurated in September. A recent section claimed by many people. The route of the rose trail follows the old railroad route that connected Paris-Bastille to Verneuil-l'Etang in the th century. Today, it takes the hikers who are walking or cycling through the landscapes of the valley of the Yerres and the plateau de la Brie. Season flowers, wild herbs and spontaneous vegetation evolve over the seasons. And all the regulars will say that this is what makes its charm.

ARTS AND LEISURE CONFERENCES

Visit science and technology

From Henri Matisse and his eloquent colour to Dega and the nude, through the Passion of Lighthouses, so many exciting lectures on very diverse subjects, always treated with attention to detail. Sometimes in night, from 20 h 30, other times during weekends, themes and topics discussed are always related to an exhibition adjoining them (Grand Palais, Musée d'Orsay, Georges Pompidou center, etc.). A good way of not going to the middle of abstract and abstruse figures, but to discover the outcome of a pearl or reed.

SERVIGNY GATHERING

The Cueillette Collection is a farmhouse Cap de Straw, in the heart of the new town of Senart, on the municipalities of Lieusaint and Savigny-le-Temple. Over the seasons you can pick up some different fruits, vegetables and flowers. The product goes directly from the earth to the basket. The garden and the orchard combine authenticity and modernity in the choice of varieties and the respectful cultivation techniques of the earth. A work that you will appreciate when you pick up your collection, because in the end, the gathering is the pleasure of collecting fruits, vegetables and flowers from the garden without the corvée of the binette.
