This 1,600-hectare forest forms the south-western boundary of the Ile-de-France region, before the Beauce plateau
Extending southward from the Rambouillet forest, this 1,600 ha forest massif marks the southwestern limit of the Ile-de-France region, before the Beauce plateau. Since the Merovingians, it belonged to the royal domain. In 1163, the abbey of Ouÿe was built there. It constitutes a pleasant goal of walk. Crossed by the GR1 and the GR111, the forest of Dourdan offers a route of about 155 km. At its southern tip, the "Oak of the Six Brothers" is located, whose trunk is nearly 6 m in circumference.

Un lieu ou il fait bon s'y ressourcer ou l'on prend un grand bol d'air. Idéal pour se balader et profiter de cueillir des champignons quand c'est la saison ou découvrir les differentes espèces de végétaux.
