The most important remnant of the Yveline forest, the Rambouillet forest constitutes the first massif of the Yvelines department by its surface of approximately 15 000 ha. You will discover the Pierre-Ardoue (dolmen) at the place called "Les Bottes Rouges", the ponds of Holland and the castle of Mormaire. The forest is the last forest territory in Yvelines where hunting with hounds is still practiced. It is also one of the favorite areas for hikers in the Ile-de-France, who can find a multitude of perfectly maintained paths for walking or biking.
