This site stretches over 13 hectares and consists of two ponds, which links a small canal, powered by sources, and by the table of the sand of Fontainebleau. At the time of the walk, you will discover the traces of the castle garden and its factories built on the edge of the ponds: the Temple of Love - a bridge to two arches surmounted by a small building, leading to the kiosk island - the pier, and the culvert - a small bridge that serves Devil island from that of the Kiosk. Other factories have disappeared: the Chinese pavilion, the canardière, the cooler or the mosque. AFM
Read moreSmall morning. The sky is blue, but the mists stretch over the green spaces and curling around the buildings. We are in Evry-sur-Seine, a city that has attracted important scientific research institutions in aeronautics, aeronautics and medical research. Moreover, we are just steps from Génopole in Evry, the first French biotechnology campus. The French association against the myopathies is located just off the metro, at the end of a small walkway paved with white slabs that winds between the buildings and the buildings of the research companies. This is a visit not to be missed if you ask questions about genetics and diseases that can be traced to a mistake in the genome map, commonly called, orphan diseases. Of the 6 000 to 8 000 rare diseases, including 200 neuromuscular diseases, 80% are of genetic origin. 30 million people are affected in Europe, including 3 million in France (about 5% of the French population - of the 65 million). In addition, this visit is only offered once a year on the occasion of the "Discover Essonne Companies" operation. Adjacent to the lobby, an exhibition gallery invites the visitor to discover the history of the AFM through explanatory panels rich in photos and texts. The guide makes us first a presentation of the company and its missions. Created in 1958 and recognized as a public utility since 1976, the mission of the AFM is to find a therapeutic solution to neuromuscular diseases, through research and especially research into gene therapies. In the short term, the MFA aims to improve the daily lives of patients by promoting better access to care and better social accompaniment. In 2008, EUR 35,5 million was spent on aid activities for sick and families by the AFM. The visit offers a route from the DNA bank and its collection, culture, mining and storage rooms. Everything is explained and the visitor comes out of the premises more fully than before entering.

PONT DE MAINCY
Read morePassing through Melun, to discover the local Brie cheese and pay a visit to the Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, the art-lover-traveler can also make a detour to the Pont de Maincy. Built in 1822 by Colonel Thomson, this bridge linking the Château de Coudray to the village is famous for having been the subject of a painting by Paul Cézanne in early 1880. The painting is now on display at the Musée d'Orsay, and a visit to Maincy will be an opportunity to see it come to life. Completely renovated in 2004, the bridge has been restored to its original appearance.

The tenanciers of the site are real specialists in the planting and maintenance of green spaces, using the drip watering system, using no chemicals of chemical weeding. EXPERIMENTAL POMACE FARM
Read moreDevoted to education and research, the experimental farm of Grignon, an entity of the Agronomic Institute, covers 350 ha of cultures, and 2 ha of technical buildings. Twenty-five people work there, develop agronomic activities and perform tests in different disciplines to obtain quality products. To share its activities, the farm welcomes the public and unveils its animals and facilities. The visit includes a tower by the stables, the bergery, the dairy and its milking room, as well as the discovery of the milk circuit. The farm produces its own dairy products that can be found in a gourmet shop: pasteurized milk, cheeses, yogurt cheese and fresh cream. There are also products in the vicinity, biological or award-winning agricultural contests: seasonal fruits and vegetables, charcuterie and terrines, eggs, honey, fruit juice, poultry, chocolate and foie gras. Finally, the farm proposes different thematic days, on topics as diverse as the five senses, dairy products or biodiversity, for example. To further increase the educational side of the site.

ARMENIAN PAPER
Read moreThe Armenian Paper production site has been located in Montrouge for more than 120 years. After a major year of closure, due to a fire at the beginning of 2017, the site resumed its activity in June 2018. But her visit remains a great moment: she lets you discover the manufacturing workshops and craft techniques that are still in use. It was during a trip to the Ottoman Empire in 1888 that Auguste Ponsot discovered in Armenia that the inhabitants perfumed their houses by burning benzoin, the resin of a tree. Back in France, he developed this famous Papier d'Arménie with the pharmacist Henri Rivier. The principle: blotting paper is soaked with a solution composed of benzoin, from the styrax benzoin tree, and various herbs. Then, it's up to you to enjoy this very special scent, recognizable among all, and which has many followers!
