RÉSERVE NATURELLE DES ÎLES DE LA MARNE
Nature reserve in Champigny-sur-Marne with grey herons, cormorants, kestrels and kingfishers.
In 1999, the islands of Abreuvoir, Gords, Pissevinaigre and Brétigny were declared voluntary nature reserves. The objective: to safeguard the ecological integrity of the area and to develop public interest in these sites. Access is therefore forbidden to visitors who can however read the numerous signs that line the footpaths and the edge of the islands, and discover the many animal species: grey heron, cormorant, kestrel, kingfisher..
