Val-Des-Dames Arboretum with soccer fields, playgrounds and fitness trail, offering themed guided tours

Created on 16 hectares over a century ago by Dr Hutinel, a member of the French Academy of Medicine, this not-to-be-missed site continues to be enriched by new plant species. It already boasts almost 150 species of tree: Hyrcania zelkova, alisier torminal, Tonkin pterocarye, giant sequoia, ginkgo... At the entrance, a castle welcomes visitors, opening onto the "solar system alley". Guided tours are also available (ask for details).

Originality

Balade très agréable à faire et de plus gratuite. Permet de voyager au travers des différentes essences de l'arboretum. Un peu éloigné de la gare RER E de Gretz-Armainvilliers. Au final on peut aussi descendre au terminus de Tournan-en-Brie.
Bref à 35/40 minutes de la Gare du Nord (Magenta).
2 trains par heure en heures creuses.
