BIOCOOP « UNIS VERS BIO »

Organic store
3.6/5
9 reviews
Closed

This "bioticrowl" address is part of the main French chain of organic stores made up of independent, militant and committed actors. This is all natural breathing. Fruit and vegetables are supplied by carefully selected producers within a radius of less than 150 km. In short, you will not find New Zealand kiwi or Australian grape in the shelves! Respectful of Biocoop's ethical charter, this self-service grocery store offers delicious bakery products. The fresh radius reveals a wide range of milkages (cow's milk yogurt, sheep, goat, etc.) and cheese from the region. Pasta fans will be able to pick up in about fifteen references (including amazing capelletti to the potibrown, algae or rockets). Many products are sold in bulk: biscuits, cereals, dried fruit, flour, rice… This makes it possible to drastically limit packaging waste. And since the organic field is no longer confined to food, you will find various products for babies, toiletries, makeup or maintenance for the home. In short, we love this sign whose commitment to citizenship is exemplary!

It is a little the madeleine of Proust of Munstériens of all ages! All the city comes to sit at table there with various opportunities, in particular saturdays which see the market being spread just opposite its terrace. In any case, here is a good address to fill your small hungers constantly day. You will have the embarrassment of the choice between salted pleasures (pie of Munster, flammekueches, croque monsieur...) and sweetened with a vast range of more succulent pastries all ones than the others. The atmosphere is cordial in a simple decor and of good taste. Admittedly, it is often crammed but waiting is worth the blow: the products are of top quality and the prices remain reasonable.

Alsace is a region where we are laughing. This is also what we say when we cross the threshold of this family butchery, which has just opened a restaurant area. The atmosphere is joyful and relaxed, you can sing easily while serving fleischnackas, meat sausage, bouts and other delights… Mr. Degert is a real craftsman, falling into the magic potion 30 years ago. In front of you, he prepares the piece of meat that you chose to the etal and serves it as at home. A council; Don't miss the potato salad! A lounge area open all day offers pastries and other delicacies…

LES MAINS DANS LA FARINE

Bakery

1 review

Here, we respect tradition and love the good bread we bake every morning! Those in the know will recognize it by its smell, its crispiness, its soft crumb and its color - it tastes just like when you were a child in the countryside. Of course, it's not just bread, but a multitude of other products, each just as carefully prepared as the next. Despite its location right in the heart of Strasbourg, this bakery offers us the flavours and, above all, the know-how and philosophy of yesteryear, to our great delight.

Founded in 1976 by Daniel Nicolas, who has just been succeeded by his son Julien Nicolas, the Maison Nicolas family butchery contrasts with the traditional butcher's shop, which has been located in the heart of the covered market of Metz for more than 40 years. Its unique selection of meat, charcuterie, delicatessen and homemade products offers more than 500 references. Unfailing quality and attractive prices, as evidenced by the uninterrupted queue at all times of the day. There are many favourites: red meats from the Limousin region, mature ribs of beef, as well as the excellent French veal and the audacious Tomahawk from Ireland. During the end of the year festivities, the House diversifies further with noble products: snails from Burgundy, truffles from Périgord, duck foie gras from the South West PGI, among others.

The estate is located in an old mill, named Thomanns Muehle. Today, it cultivates 35 hectares of vines, part of which are located on the Grand Cru Steinklotz terroir, which is clay-limestone and south-facing, and warms up very quickly in spring. We practice here the reasoned viticulture, the wine making is done in stainless steel tanks, but some vintages are raised in the famous wooden tuns of the Cellar of the Civil Hospices of Strasbourg. All the Alsatian grape varieties are vinified here, as well as crémants whose reputation is well established.

The passing of time has led to the development of techniques, the concern for the environment has increased and it is now logical that the estate is cultivated in integrated viticulture. From its eight hectares of vines, the family elaborates a solid range of cuvées which honors in particular a beautiful Blanc de Blancs, with balanced aromas of citrus fruits and white flowers which one will taste as an aperitif. The cuvée Tradition is a blend of three grape varieties, with a dominance of Pinots, for a fresh, fruity and elegant wine, to be discovered at the domain.

The Schaller domain has a long history, and family know-how has passed up to the present day. Certified since 1642, the estate extends from Bennwihr to Ribeauvillé. It is now run by Eugène Schaller and his son, and covers 5.5 hectares, divided into seventy-eight plots distributed on slopes at high altitudes, exhibitions and soils, allowing the Schallons to respond with relevance to the development of each vine. The entire range of Alsace grape varieties is proposed by the estate, as well as a creamy Alsace-based Alsace. The area also produces a house creation, the Pamp's, based on creamy and grapefruit.

This little family company was established in Riquewihr and also in the beautiful city of Bartholdi. Its Colmar's shop is located in the middle of the pedestrian area in the historic neighbourhood, within walking distance of the Collegial Saint-Martin and the Church of the Dominicans. Here, you can stroll as in a real market to get supplied in vacuum sealed cooked dishes or in jar (choucroute with the white wine or beer, traditional baeckeoffe or with wild boar, snails' soup...), charcuteries (pies, pork pies, terrines, sausages and salt meat...), farm cheeses (Munster and vine grower of the market with walnuts or truffles), fine wines and cremant, and of course without forgetting the famous duck or goose foie gras which participate proudly to the reputation of the Alsatian gastronomy. The sweet tooth will find their happiness among the various kinds of gingerbread accompanied with artisanal jams and from various honey of Alsace. Unusual but coherent, the shop recently has a ray dedicated to the delights from other regions: fish raviolis with coulis of langoustine from Brittany, Basque ketchup and mustard with Espelette pepper, olive oil and tapenades of Provence... Products of small producers selected in the four corners of France. Also a good thing: the address offers a pretty selection of well-furnished baskets to please your friends in any opportunity. During holiday time, this is an ideal address to get supplied with good things by passing to the shop or making an online order!

AU FIL DU VIN LIBRE

Caviste

What makes this wine shop unique? To offer quality wines, but without any additives or sulfites - in short, as natural a beverage as possible. Particular attention is paid to small producers. Jean only distributes wines from winemakers whose spirit and work he knows, men and women who love their craft and their terroir. Among the boutique's 800 references, you should find something to sublimate your next dinner with friends: Alsatian grape varieties, of course, but also from Burgundy, Bordeaux and Corsica.

AUX PLAISIRS D’ANTAN

Bakery
2.5/5

One of the best known bakeries in Nancy, it is ideally located near the Place Stanislas. Customers flock here to pick up (and then devour!) their croissants or a small delicacy: sourdough bread, pastries with AOC butter, doughnuts, sweet treats, rye pie... We particularly appreciate the ficelles, small baguettes kebab, tartiflette, goat cheese and dried tomatoes or olives. With affordable prices and sandwiches to fall, it becomes strategic in case of small sudden hunger or to have lunch on the go!
