In Wettolsheim, Domaine Butterlin makes your taste buds sparkle with its wines of character: Muscat, Riesling, Pinot Noir and more.

This family business took off in 1947 thanks to Ernest Butterlin and his wife Léa Mann. Their son Jean is responsible for the 8 ha of the estate. The vines are spread over 30 parcels including the Grand Cru Steingrübler. The family cultivates its vines in the respect of the traditional methods: reasoned fight and manual grape harvests. They produce wines full of character, such as the Gewurztraminer Grand Cru Hengst 2020 with its smoky nose (rosehip, apricot) or the Riesling Grand Cru Steingrubler, with its mineral and candied citrus notes.

Vignerons indépendants, cette famille passionnée nous a fait découvrir des vins superbement délicieux. Merci pour votre accueil, nous penserons à vous, à tout votre travail et votre amour de la vigne à chaque gorgée de ce délicieux breuvage.

A beautiful little winery just outside of Colmar. Closed between 12-2pm as are most places in the area. However, the wines (Grand Cru Reisling especially) are sensational and the service from our host was warm and welcoming to a group of Australians with very limited French language skills.
