MAZZONI

Patisserie
4.1/5
26 reviews
Closed - Open to 10h00

It's the whooping cough of the moment. Mazzoni is a know-how mastered by two young people who have just settled in and are hitting the ground running. Their creation, Le Pebble, is all the rage: grey like those on the beach just a stone's throw away, but so tasty. May he who has never committed the sin of greediness throw away the first pebble! You can enjoy it on the spot, in a deliciously old-fashioned and white setting, where you can take everything with you...

Located in the heart of downtown Pacy-sur-Eure since 1998, the Chasles pastry shop is an institution in the region. The establishment is indeed famous for its creations that are not only full of flavors, but also particularly pleasant to look at. But the great specialty of the house is of course the macaroons. These small round delicacies, soft and crispy at the same time, will delight your taste buds and your gustatory senses. There is something for everyone: pink raspberry, purple blackcurrant, milk chocolate passion, salted butter caramel...

Year after year, Rémi Chapuis' patisserie-chocolaterie remains a favourite. With your senses on alert, you wander around the store with one fixed idea in mind: try everything! You'll have to choose between the éclairs or the margaux, the macarons or the praline rochers, the chocolates with fragrant ganaches or Guillaume's Conquest, THE house specialty. Hard work! Since 2018, Tiphaine and Stéphane's chocolate shop has been located in the town of Ouistreham. With your nose glued to the window, you give in to temptation: dark chocolate, milk chocolate, garnished chocolate... The range, made with Valrhona - the professional brand - and grands crus (pure Brazil, pure Madagascar), includes a variety of creations (mendiants, roses des sables, lollipops, tablettes, orangettes) and confectionery (fruit jellies, caramels, marshmallows). In addition to the chocolates, gourmets will also fall for the fine pastries.

ALBAN GUILMET

Patisserie

While the store on Rue Saint-Jean is more centrally located, it doesn't have a bakery (yum... lemon or chocolate cake!), nor any delicious savoury treats. But the sweets it does offer - chocolates and, more specifically, macarons (veritable culinary masterpieces) - are just as fabulous as those on Boulevard Yves-Guillou. In summer, we love the ultra-gourmet, refreshing pots glacés. As for the pastries, they're an ode to the sublime and to gourmandise, and we're particularly enamoured of the lemon meringue tart. It's a no-brainer.

An elaborate alliance of French pastry-making know-how and the finesse of Japanese gastronomy, Masako offers pastries that are as exotic as they are appetizing. The first Japanese pastry shop in Rouen is always busy and continues to arouse the curiosity of passers-by. You will find in its very modern store, hidden in the small street of Quebec, wonders of kokoro no eiyou, to be translated as "food for the soul". French pastries with, very often, a touch of Japanese flavor, based, for example, on green tea...

It is a must! If you pass by the central district, you can't miss this beautiful store. Chocolates, fine pastries, macarons... Jean-François Foucher's reputation has long gone beyond the departmental borders. On the spot, to take away or for your holiday desserts, the references are very popular, like the Saint-Honoré in the house style. Finally, note that the company also has a bakery, located next door.

Adjacent to the Aître Saint-Maclou, this is one of Rouen's finest addresses. Here, finesse and delicacy preside over the confection of the finest pastries. Gilles Tournadre and Philippe Coudy created it, to the delight of our taste buds. The great chef draws inspiration from his environment, among other things, to invent unique pieces: the Norman side is found in the apple skillfully combined with its buckwheat shortbread, the urban side is transcended in the inimitable and unique pavé de l'aître. A true moment of happiness!
