AL REFETTORIO
Read moreA sparkling address in the historic centre of the city, where the talent of the young chef Cristiano Andreini is brilliantly expressed. By highlighting local products, the recipes dare combinations of flavours that are as amusing as they are successful. Among the chef's signature dishes are tagliolini in a pecorino crust with sage and boutargue and puff pastry with olive oil gelato. There are also local specialities such as culurgiones with tomato sauce. The tables occupy a modern interior room or the vaulted passage of the alley.
ESTRÒÒ
Read moreIn a picturesque and quiet corner of Bosa, at the foot of the fortress, you can enjoy a cuisine where good local products are prepared with audacity and originality. The colourful cuisine dares originality with a fish carbonara (the marriage between mussels and grilled bacon is a success), a carpaccio of donkey meat, lamb in olive crust and potatoes infused with peppers and the unmistakable tiramisardo with honey and ricotta. All to be enjoyed in the pretty indoor room or on the terrace.
TRATTORIA DA BOCCHETTA
Read moreA triumph of fish, shellfish and crustaceans in this restaurant in the city center, which plays the gastronomic card. On the terrace or in the indoor dining room, the service is attentive and the cuisine is refined. Great care is taken with the raw materials, which are resolutely local. Special mention for the crudo di pesce (sliced raw fish that explodes with freshness), for the fregola with mussels, and for the fish soup. The menu is very varied and original. Excellent wine list that will delight all budgets.
LOCANDA AL VECCHIO CORSO
Read moreRight in the centre of town, this is a bistro for regulars, whose abundant and tasty cuisine rarely disappoints. The dishes, based on products from the Gallura region, allow you to discover the local flavours of the seasons: wild boar and mushrooms, braised meats, gnocchi with meat ragout, potato culurgiones and chocolate sweets. The setting perfectly matches the menu: rustic. A fine selection of local wines can be enjoyed with the meal, but also in the wine bar area, on a barrel.
FRADIS MINORIS
Read moreThere is no more beautiful location than this restaurant in the heart of Nora Lagoon. The terrace and dining room look out onto the setting sun reflected in the calm waters of the lagoon. The talented chef Davide Atzeni offers an inspired and delicate cuisine drawn from the sea bed. Eggs are cooked at a low temperature and seasoned with hazelnut and lemon juice, spaghetti is served with scampi and fish is surrounded by vegetables beautifully arranged on the plate. A magical place.
RISTORANTE LINA
Read moreWhen you ask the locals which is the best restaurant in Stintino and they all say Lina... You have to go there! The interior is not the most engaging but the panoramic terrace (and veranda) that overlooks the old port and the city is a little wonder. Here, you can taste typical dishes of the traditional "Stintinese" cuisine with some modern reinterpretations of the chef that we tasted: the Fregola alla Stintinese (typical pasta of Sardinia in the shape of small balls) and the tuna in the Mediterranean style. Delicious!
LOCANDA AMMENTOS
Read moreWe come to this inn at the end of the world, facing the majestic Monte Albo, for two reasons. Firstly, because Tonino's cuisine is from the heart, authentic and generous. It has the flavor of his endearing words, which are an invitation to join the family as soon as you sit down at the table. The products are all sustainably sourced and pure delight. The view of Monte Albo is simply breathtaking: one of the most beautiful terraces on the island. This is a true mountain inn like few others you'll find today. A real favorite!
CHIOSCO DI PONENTE
Read moreThe most beautiful terrace in the Ogliastra, with a view of the lagoon and its pine forest on one side, and the infinite blue and towering cliffs of the Gulf of Orosei on the other! Places like the Oyster Bar Chiosco di Ponente are often dreamt of, and you're really lucky when you find them. This "kiosk" on the beach, with its nautical decor and simple azure-blue wooden tables, offers, depending on the course of the sun, an aperitif, a light seafood lunch, an evening meal with octopus, fish and bottarga, or a last glass of vernaccia before rejoining Morpheus.
IL FUOCO SACRO - GOURMET RESTAURANT
Read moreOverlooking the gulf, Il Fuoco Sacro, one of the restaurants at Petra Segreta Resort & Spa, is an exceptional establishment unanimously acclaimed in the most prestigious gastronomic guides. Luigi Bergeretto and Enrico Bartolini, the world's most starred Italian chef, will dazzle you with their expertly prepared Italian dishes. And to complete your gastronomic experience, the establishment boasts a cellar of over 500 wines from all over the world, with rare and precious labels as well as a selection of quality small cellars.
LE TERRAZZE
Read moreIn the Hotel Poseidonia building, Battista and his family welcome you to a place of beautiful, vast volumes in marine tones. You can choose between two spacious dining rooms and a terrace. The cuisine is Mediterranean and typical of the island. The emphasis is on shellfish and fish, for which the restaurant is renowned. Pasta lovers will also be delighted: fregola con vongole, ravioli di cierna... As in many of the island's restaurants, the quality of the produce is paramount: it's all fresh and local.
IL BRIGANTINO GRILL
Read moreIl Brigantino Grill rises from the ground, or rather from the embers, following the success of Brigantino. The concept is a little different, as the specialities are grilled meat and fish cooked over coals. The atmosphere in the dining room and on the terrace is relaxed and warm, as the owner emphasizes. The restaurant is very well located, in a lively district at the heart of Cagliari's "movida". Regulars to the Brigantino will not be disappointed, with the same quality products and, above all, the inimitable welcome and attention of the staff. A great address!
LIBRID
Read moreThe story of Librid began with the idea of creating a place in the historic heart (a secluded courtyard of the historic Eleonora d'Arborea residence) where good food could mingle with literature and art. We discover a cuisine with a Sardinian soul linked to seasonality and the land, blended with the freshness and joviality of the bistro. We call it "la dolce vita". The freshness of a garden, music, a rich selection of cocktails and a local wine list make Librid a unique destination for disconnecting from routine and savouring existence.
RISTORANTE DA ATTILIO
Read moreDa Attilio offers seafood specialties prepared the old-fashioned way. Products are mainly local (pasta, rice, fish and vegetables) and cooked in the traditional way. Starters include octopus salad, Catalan-style red mullet, burrida, mussels, crabs and more. Grilled fish is a must, as are fregola and risotto. This restaurant, which doesn't look like much from the outside, is a favorite with travelers, and the reason is simple: the cuisine reflects the atmosphere of the place: authentic!
RUBIU
Read moreThis freshly opened brasserie-restaurant, with its modern, industrial decor and view of the gleaming vats, won us over. It serves excellent pizzas, accompanied of course by the house beers brewed on site. The foams are almost organic, unfiltered and additive-free. But the cochonnailles served on a plank (as well as the cheeses) are truly succulent. Rubiu ("red" in Sardinian) is the story of three friends who are natives of the island, and they'll tell you the rest because they're so adorable.
NORD OVEST
Read moreShip's bow, old iron tuna cans, a skeleton dressed as a pirate and a shark hanging from the ceiling... you'd think you were in a pirate lair! It's a tavern that Hemingway wouldn't have denied, and with good reason: here, the owner cooks, and you can enjoy his "variations on tuna". Not forgetting the tuna couscous, as Pietro reminds us! Heartfelt, generous cuisine, just like the staff. The terrace, overlooking the harbour, is another driftwood setting. Last but not least, this is where you'll find the best pizzas on the island. We love it!
ALTAMAREA
Read more"It was a small bar when it was born in 1957," says Stefano, who has been running the place since 2003, half a century later... Altamarea is S'Archittu's must-visit restaurant. Three modestly sized dining rooms, one of which has its feet in the water. The atmosphere is family-friendly, simple and straightforward, much like Stefano's own image. The food is delicious and fine, and the prices are very reasonable for the location. The pizzas are also an excellent choice, as are the local wines. We love to sit under the straw hut, facing the Grande Bleue... Contemplative!
SA CORTE
Read moreAntonio, the son of a farmer and proud of his origins, created Sa Corte in 2005 to share with customers the products from his father's farm (cheese, charcuterie, fruit, vegetables and honey). Almost 20 years later, it's arguably the best restaurant in Santa Lucia. From appetizer to dessert, there are so many surprises! Our favorite is the radicchio semi freddo. The locals will tell you that they come here for the fish. We love the intimate interior with its exposed stonework, fireplace and reeded ceiling.
BOMBAS
Read moreThe success of this Sardinian "hamburger shop" has not wavered despite the passing years. Fabrizio Muscas has been able to seduce a demanding clientele with his gourmet hamburgers, which are essentially made of products from Sardinia. Pecorino cheese replaces cheddar cheese, mutton replaces ground beef, country ham replaces bacon... The sandwiches are composed like real architectural works in which seasonal products and homemade sauces are piled up in layers. The kitchen is located in the heart of a high vaulted room made of blonde stone.
RISTORANTE SA PIOLA
Read moreSa Piola is the whole of Sardinia summed up in one restaurant. Giuseppe, the chef, offers a menu that draws cheerfully from the traditional repertoire, of course, but he is especially careful to work with ultra-fresh, seasonal products, offered by his friends who are producers or fishermen. Thus, the bluefin tuna comes in carpaccio, the prawns are served raw, the lorighittas come from Morgongiori. Gabriele accompanies this pleasant cuisine with carefully selected bottles that flirt with the natural trend.
I DUE FRATELLI
Read more"Dalle nostre barche alla tavola, un lavoro di famiglia": everything is said with these words that remind us that fishing arrives directly to your table. A family history for generations and a fishermen's cooperative that runs a restaurant. Installed on the terrace facing the small port, you will taste fish of a rare quality, kilometer zero as we say in Sardinia, ultra fresh and local. The service is attentive and the owners are very friendly. We like the atmosphere of the sea front of Sant'Antioco, like a little air of Ile de Ré...
MARI MANNU
Read moreAt Mari Mannu, the sea is no joke. We only serve fish and shellfish, so forget the meat! You choose your own fish on the advice of our friendly staff. Prepare your taste buds! You'll only taste fish from the Cabras and Marceddi fisheries on the west coast. One of the restaurant's specialties is fried whole octopus, and Le Futé recommends the antipasti mix as a starter. The interior decor features objects brought in from the sea or washed up on the beach. A fine address.
REMI
Read moreIn this gourmet pizzeria, each pizza is the subject of a particular culinary research. The creativity of the young chef Sandro Cubeddu is expressed through the choice of top quality flours and fillings, with an unparalleled freshness. Worked with natural sourdough, we bite into gourmet pizzas with burrata, courgette flowers, raw ham, tuna and anchovies, not to mention shrimp and olives. A real culinary experience, accompanied by selected wines and exquisite homemade beers.
DA ANDREA OSTERIA DELLA TONNARA
Read moreChef Andrea Rosso knows all the secrets of tuna, but respecting the work of men and the rhythms of nature, he avoids offering this fish in periods when the raw material is not available. In season, we find the tuna fillet in salt served on a bed of juicy tomatoes and seasoned with a dash of olive oil, the homemade tuna lasagne covered with drops of pesto or the roasted tuna with tomato juice and bay leaf.
IL MALANDRINO
Read moreFish restaurants are similar and sometimes equal. We are rarely disappointed in Cagliari but Il Malandrino seduced us by the happiness that emanates from the atmosphere and the welcome. The staff is really professional, very attentive and the owner is a darling. In the plate, it is generous, well presented and delicious. We like the terrace in the pedestrian street and the atmosphere at the end of the day. Our favorite is the octopus which, in this restaurant, is cooked in a thousand ways according to the chef's mood. Everything is extra fresh and we love it.
PASTA E PASTA
Read moreLe Futé has found you (we asked the local gastronomes) the best pasta restaurant in Orosei. Pasta & Pasta stands out for the quality of its fresh pasta made every morning and the side dishes, in short, ultra fresh products and as they say in Italy "km zero". A local cuisine very appreciated by the locals, so we advise you to reserve or come early because this restaurant is not very big. The specialty of the house is necessarily the culurgiones but the chef excels in other recipes of course. Nice selection of wines as a bonus.
RIVA NORD
Read moreIf we had to choose only one on the long stretch of sand of Torre Grande, it would be Riva Nord. We were simply charmed by the place: the restaurant is located on the beach, just a few steps from the water. The service is impeccable, the staff very smiling and attentive. The tables are quite far from each other, creating a little intimacy under the large veranda. A local cuisine but revisited, and of course one comes to Riva Nord to taste sea products: the octopus is delicious and the pasta recipes are surprising.
OSTERIA BORELLO
Read moreYou can find the locals at the table and that's a good sign. Theosteria is located at the bottom of the village, certainly we left the meanders of the paved streets, but forget the direct environment because you are at the best table of the village. You will discover an authentic Sardinian cuisine, traditional and very tasty. From theantipasto to the dolce, the dishes are delicious and rather hearty. If you have to choose, go for the pasta and the cold cuts. We had a very pleasant time during the height of summer. The service, as often in Sardinia, is impeccable.
ACQUARIO
Read moreA few steps from the Fertilia marina, Acquario is a nugget discovered by chance. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but what a treat when the dishes pass before your eyes! The chef offers local specialties but revisited with his personal touch. Some of the best pasta in the Alghero area! You will find more locals than tourists on the terrace or in the dining room. Well-stocked plates, festival of flavors and very attentive staff. We love this terrace under the arcades on summer evenings and we want to come back.
FRAMENTO
Read moreFor many Cagliaritans it is the best pizzeria in town. Always crowded, the atmosphere is noisy and cheerful. But the fun stops at the kitchen doors. The pizzaiolo takes great care in selecting the products. The pizza dough here is rigorously prepared with mother leaven, as for the dough flour, it is chosen for its digestive qualities. Taste the "transhumance" pizza made with soft mozzarella, smoked mullet, cherry tomatoes and Sardinian pecorino cheese, not found elsewhere!
SOTTOPRUA
Read moreSottoprua is an enchanted interlude: the terrace on the edge of the lagoon facing the Roman bridge, the care taken in the service, the execution and presentation of the dishes, in short the refinement of the place, everything contributes to transform your meal into a gastronomic and romantic experience because the setting really lends itself to it - especially at sunset! The chef sublimates the products of the sea as much as those of the earth. Expect to be surprised by what you taste because the rule at Sottoprua is to think outside the box!
FARINA
Read moreFeeling peckish? Then go to the very lively Piazza Yenne, the famous square in Cagliari where the statue of Carlo Felice, King of Sardinia from 1821 to 1831, stands. There, in the Stampace district, there is a small shop that treats locals and tourists alike. We prefer to warn you, the portions are generous! At Farina's, your heart is set on pizzas, focacce and schiacciate. One thing is sure, everything is well-stocked. You can choose between ham, mozzarella, rocket, mortadella, pistachio pesto... Yummy!
SA MUSCIARA
Read moreIts Musciara is the best table in the region. It pays tribute to the town's past as a tuna port with a menu dedicated to bluefin tuna in season. The Musciara was the name of the boat of Portoscuso's chief fisherman, who had a window under the keel that allowed him to see the catch live. Fresh products and simplicity form the winning duo of this elegant table that opens onto the sea. The speciality of the house? The spaghetti, the recipe for which can be found on the website. Will you be able to reproduce it identically?
CHAMELEON CLUBBING
Read moreThe Chameleon offers the best view of the blue and green shades of the Asinara Strait, Cape Falcone and the Spanish Tower. The best tables are as hard to come by as a deserted strip of sand on La Pelosa beach after 9am. Elegant, a little blinged out, the terrace has large garden armchairs and white-topped tables. Coffee, cold drinks, rosé, cocktails: there is a drink for every moment of the day and champagne at all hours. The menu favours fine fish and shellfish.
RISTORANTE S'ABBA DRUCHE
Read moreNestled on a small cape that juts out into the clear waters, S'Abba Drucche's large covered terrace enjoys a perfect location. The eyes, when not distracted by the superb culinary compositions, are turned towards the sea and its magnificent coves just a stone's throw from the restaurant - yes, just a stone's throw, that's not an image. We loved the welcome and the quality of the fresh products. Fish specialties, local or revisited dishes... Our favorite is the cuttlefish tagliatelle! A magical and romantic place!
TOTTOI TRATTO DRINKERIA
Read moreA beautiful discovery in the heart of the village. From the outside, it looks like a village bar with a small terrace where the regulars chat, but as soon as you push the door open, you discover a real place dedicated to bistronomic cuisine. Sandwiches, platters or tapas-style dishes, the quality is equal and the portions are generous. The owner is adorable and is happy to tell you about the origin of his products, his commitment to "km zero" (i.e. the short circuit) and is also a fine wine connoisseur. And in the evening, there are concerts. Great!
OSTERIA VINERIA CIBUS
Read moreWe fell in love with this address in Santadi, where a dedicated staff welcomes you in a pleasant garden. The menu honours both the flavours of the land and the sea as well as local producers. So make your choice between cheese and sausage antipasti or fish and shellfish antipasti, a dish of fregola with mussels or grilled fish, seadas covered with honey or a hazelnut and chocolate ice-cream parfait. Pizza lovers won't be disappointed, as the chef prepares pizza only in the evening.
RISTORANTE SANTA BARBARA
Read moreThe best restaurant in Villagrande! An address well known by the locals who did not fail to indicate it to us. The restaurant is located at the entrance of the park of the same name which is worth a visit. But let's go back to the table. In this inn, we like the simplicity, the warm and mountainous atmosphere and especially the quality of the products in the plate. The owner is modest but he knows how to cook like a chef and will surprise you if you leave the traditional suckling pigs or sheep stews. A beautiful address which seduced us.
RISTORANTE CALA PEDRISCHEDDA
Read moreGrilled fish, pizzas and seafood are on the menu of this friendly restaurant located at the entrance of the small village of Portixeddu. Its added value lies in the large and beautiful terrace where you can enjoy the landscape and admire beautiful sunsets. The sea is just across the road. The regulars suggest trying the antipasto di mare, based on fish and seafood, depending on the day's catch.
RISTORANTE SAN NICOLÒ
Read moreOpened by a former miner and his family, this beautiful restaurant overlooking the beach of San Nicolò serves traditional cuisine with a creative touch. Among the fish and meat specialities, you will find the artichoke and bottarga salad as a starter, the fish fry and the inevitable seafood fregola. The pizzas are only available in the evening, as they are cooked over a wood fire. Two beautiful verandas open straight onto the sea, so you can enjoy the beautiful summer evenings in a relaxed atmosphere.
906 OPERAIO
Read moreThis absolutely surreal address is well worth a stop. Along the promenade of the Nebida belvedere opens a wonderful terrace with a view of the sea and the Pan di Zucchero rock in the distance. The kitchens take place in what was the explosive depot of the old mines, while the tables are spread out on the shady promenade. Pizza is the great speciality here, but you can stop for a drink. 906 Operaio pays homage to the miners who died in the 1906 revolt protesting against inhuman working conditions.
PISCIN'E JANAS
Read morePiscin'e Janas is a country inn that offers a typical cuisine that respects the traditions of the Ogliastra. On summer evenings, you can dine on the terrace under the lanterns and in front of the large garden with the donkey Biondo and the mare Steddada. This family-run restaurant insists on the ultra local, the zero mile: Pistoccu and Turredda breads baked in the wood-fired oven, fresh Culurgiones and Strangulaus pasta, goat and pork meat from Baunei, cheeses from local shepherds. We love the spirit of the house. We love it!
LUCITTA
Read moreLucittà was born in 2020 from the idea, experience and passion for the culinary profession of Paolo and Clelia, who are united in work and life. In their new restaurant in the center of Tortoli, they have conceived food and drink as elements of sharing and conviviality. The emphasis is on zero km and local wines: small estates or small producers in the glass and on the plate, that's the rule. A pure delight! You can come at any time of day: from breakfast to brunch, lunch to dinner.
MAR 'E PONTIS
Read moreThe Mar'e Pontis cooperative restaurant is a must on the peninsula. The extensive menu is based exclusively on typical lagoon fish. The "bottarga" (mullet roe) is one of the ingredients that characterizes the house specialties, which can be eaten in pieces or slices seasoned with oil, or minced or sprinkled on a dish of spaghetti. The dishes are hearty yet delicate. The open-air terrace overlooking the lagoon offers a magnificent view. Irresistible!
L'ENTREE
Read moreThis is a popular address for locals and it is always busy on summer evenings. On the large square or under the arcades with a view of the sea, you can sit down with your family or friends to enjoy delicious and copious pizzas, without forgetting the beautiful local specialities. William and his team are very attentive. The children can play freely on the square and leave a little respite to the adults. Finally, from the terrace, the sunsets on the Capo Testa are beautiful. A simple and affordable address that we recommend.
AMMENTOS
Read moreDesigned as a typical inn, the Ammentos restaurant takes you to the mountains of Barbagia for a meal. Copper pots and wicker baskets transform the room into a Sardinian farmhouse scullery. The dishes are served on large wooden boards placed on the table, ready to be shared. They are garnished with grilled vegetables, the best cured meats and delicious cheeses, fregola and ravioli, roast suckling pig and grilled sausages. To finish the meal, a glass of muscatel wine is brought along with small biscuits.
