WASHINGTON NATIONAL CATHEDRAL
Read moreThis huge (and non-Catholic) episcopal cathedral in neo-Gothic style (with gargoyles) is the 6 th largest in the world. It was completed in the 1990 s, but it does more than its age. Built according to a cross plan, it is a construction to the impressive massive aspect. The interior is pretty beautiful. The exterior is also pleasant (gardens, benches). A lift takes you to the top of the building. Since the earthquake which damaged its nave, access is paid in the week.
