Tucked away in a quiet alleyway away from the hustle and bustle of the city center, Sebriko's discreet terrace and storefront make it hard to miss. A good address that is already making people talk about it thanks to the talent of the chef and the impeccable service.

Then there is Sofia, which prepares its specialities that attract the locals: pork with small onions, puff pastry with peppers, rooster in wine and so on... We like this restaurant for its absolutely ideal location, at the end of the pier of Myrina: dominated by the rock of the kastro and below the small church of Agia Paraskevi, the tables that are spread out there enjoy a postcard setting. The view of the bay and the port of Myrina offers a touching landscape, in contrast to the severe fortifications. The Ippirotis is a renowned mezzedopoleio that has been a meeting point for the locals for over 45 years. Xatheri, in familiar Cretan language, means "authentic"... Thanks to their unconditional love for their island of origin, the two owners of this restaurant have succeeded in creating an establishment in Kaissariani where you can enjoy authentic Cretan specialities. There's also fresh fish in everyday life, but today we've decided to taste the lemon stamnagathi lamb. The stamnagathi is a wild plant that grows on the rocks near the sea, only in Crete. It's a little dish available in the menus of other restaurants. In the plate, it looks like spinach, but the taste is different. Their famous recipe for fish soup is still kept secret; We only know that it's a broth of different fish that kaminraum with celery, olive oil and lemon. Dessert is available to all clients: it is a small glass of Greek yogurt teeming with candied grapes. A real treat and servers have lots of stories to share. I Trata is a well known tavern on the beach of Nea Makri and has been open since 1981. We come here for its dishes based on fresh fish, shellfish and seafood; we recommend the very masterful grilled octopus. Let us add to the description a beautiful shaded terrace, thanks to the beneficial presence of mulberry trees, which offers a full view of the sea. Among the mezzedes of the house, give priority to marinated anchovies and wood-fired eggplant salad. A good traditional table.

At lunchtime you can enjoy a cheap Greek-style burger and fresh salads. Special mention, by the way, to the octopus on its bed of fava (bean purée). A delight. The evening menu is more refined, welcomes a more chic clientele and still mixes traditional cuisine with influences from elsewhere in the Mediterranean.
