A great Tolosa classic, known throughout the country for its excellent cuisine. This traditional house is famous for its chuletón a la parrilla (grilled prime rib) - the best in the world according to the American magazine Forbes! - served with absolutely divine piquillo peppers! The secret of its delicious meat lies in the art of cooking, an art that has been going on since 1954. As an appetizer, try Navarra asparagus or bellota ham. There is very little choice on the menu, but all the products are excellent. Not to be missed!

Opened since 1949, Can Barris has enjoyed a beautiful reputation for three generations now: you are here in the snail's temple! In fact, the establishment proposes its speciality of cargols "a la llauna" (a snail's snail) presented in the form of a dish loaded with gastéropodes (smaller than the Bourgogne snails) cooked in a delicious sauce. There are many other à la carte proposals, all very typical of Catalan cuisine in the interior, ranging from salads to carns, but also some fish preparations. A convivial canteen to taste around large wooden tablets the traditional pulpo feigned with pimentón. The octopus, cut before your eyes, is a freshness. Very good atmosphere!

Close to Orzán beach, Alberto's restaurant offers renovated traditional cuisine in a very pleasant but unpretentious setting. A la carte, zamburiñas au gratin, scallops a la plancha, and delicious stews simmered over a low fire, all served with great care. You can accompany your dish with a delicious Spanish wine with Denomination of Origin, which offers an appreciable selection. It is, without a doubt, one of the best value for money in the city, and one of its best tables!

A magical place, facing the ocean, to eat a burger, pintxos, or more sophisticated dishes in the restaurant area - mostly fish-based. Inaugurated in 1998 in the Playa de Atxabiribil, El Peñón has three terraces on different levels. With its sublime view of the ocean, it is a privileged spot to drink a cocktail at sunset time. The restaurant's à la carte menu: tuna tataki, salmon tartar and sautéed chipirons are a tasty option. Also nice salads and several dishes for children!

A modern day tavern located in the centre of Zumaia. The slate displays a wide selection of wines served by the glass, while the counter is loaded with tasty pintxos. But it is above all to feast on divine tostas that you come to this address! They are garnished with red tuna, cod, smoked salmon, anchovies... Tapas of great delicacy, served with a smile! For a more substantial meal, opt for the delicious cazuelas (small dishes served in terracotta ramekins). Our favourite in Zumaia!

On the Passeig Marítim (but unfortunately, without the view of the sea), an excellent address to discover the cuisine of "Gipsy Chef", a nice and media-friendly chef known for his inventive and a little bit scoundrel! Revisiting the traditional paella, Gipsy Chef delivers several surprising and very tasty versions, in a 100% Mediterranean decor. Our favorite: the one garnished with black botifarra, diced apples and burrata! Equally original is the paella with black scallops and calamari, or the black rice with mussels and poached egg!

Can Xifra is located in an old farmhouse halfway between Sant Gregori and Cartellà and is well known in the area. Three generations of women from the same family have been working to ensure that customers can enjoy their meal. Here they eat a variety of Catalan specialities: they start with a variety of embotits, before being tempted by the star dishes of the place such as conill a la rabiosa (spicy rabbit) or rostit de pagès (farmhouse roast). Perfect for those who want to discover the typical dishes of the Catalan hinterland. A delight.

Located in the ethnological park of Tagamanent, this restaurant occupies a beautiful masía with splendid views. Here, only seasonal and local products are cooked. Chef Ignasi buys from small producers in the area to prepare an excellent Catalan cuisine of the soil, served in the form of a buffet. After your meal, don't hesitate to visit the Casa Museo l'Agustí, a small ethnological museum that reconstructs rural life in 19th century Montseny.

Patrick, a Frenchman who has lived in Menorca for many years, offers French specialties combined with local produce. The menu varies according to the season... and the imagination of the chef, always ready to explore new trends. Some suggestions? Duck confit with orange and carrot purée with cumin, aubergine-tomato crumble, vegetable Tarte Tatin... The place is very pleasant, starting with the terrace-pergola open in summer.
