FORT DE SANTA CATARINA
Read moreSouth of the beach of Praia da Vitoria, near Cabo da Praia, a small fortress which is the only vestige of the nine fortifications which have protected the town from looters since the 16th century. The Ponta do Cabo offers an excellent view of the coast and the city from the Riviera viewpoint. Make this small detour, you will not be disappointed by the view, we promise. The fort is extremely well preserved and allows to realize the military architecture of the archipelago. You can't miss it with its yellow walls!

Read moreBuilt between the 15th and 17th centuries and rebuilt in the 19th century, the church, where blue dominates, retains Gothic and Manueline elements.
