CENTRO DE EXPOSICAO RURAL - ARMAZEM DA LARANJA

This former warehouse on the port used to store oranges, one of the island's main sources of income between the ^17th and ^19th centuries, before they were shipped to the mainland. The building has now been transformed into a traditional exhibition space. Inside, a cheerful jumble of tools from another age: stills, carts, beds, fruit mills and rat traps. An interesting center for understanding the island and its traditions.
