The most beautiful natural sites to discover India

This is where the Thejaswini River flows into the Arabian Sea. A long white sandy beach still little exploited by tourism, there is a calm atmosphere conducive to solitude.

If the beach is Itchy, Corbyn's Beach is the closest to Port Blair. This small grazed cove of coconut and tropical trees does not affect the long beaches of Havelock's turquoise waters. Moreover, the powerful marine currents do not encourage bathing. It is, however, a very beautiful observation point for sunrise, but we have to get up very early.

Khecheopalri Lake, located at an altitude of 1 700 metres, is considered sacred by both Buddhists and Hindus. It is surrounded by colourful Tibetan prayer flags. It is a pleasant stopover on the road between Pelling and Yuksom.

These falls, which are more like rapids, are worth a look, but they are much less impressive than those of Athirapally. We therefore advise you to start the visit with these.

The island of Char Chinnar (or 4 Chinnar) is located on the lake. It is called so because four of these emblematic trees in Kashmir are resting there. The leaf of chinnar, which resembles that of maple, is a very well-represented ground in the kashmiris arts and crafts. Here you can stretch your legs after a long walk in shikara. Be aware that the lotus and lilies lakes of Dal and Nagin Lakes are in bloom in July and August, and that it is forbidden to collect them.

This lake, surrounded by Himalayan cedars, is considered sacred. A temple of Shiva is built on the bank.

Forests always green, a gift from nature. Possibility of camping, trekking and canoeing.

In this forest, we are directly in contact with nature. It houses several species of rare birds, orchids and many other flowers. Trekking is possible.

This beautiful waterfall is one of the greenest and most unspoilt sites in Kerala. Members of a Karens tribe accompany walkers along the mountain path. Before approaching, you will need to request a permit from the Forestry Department.

A complex located south of the city behind Sardar Patel Road. This small park allows you to see the snakes, lizards, chameleon, turtles and many other species. The children's park can see peacocks and some other animals.

Another superb picnic site, renowned for its green environment and beautiful waterfalls.

Located on the shores of the lake, this small park houses sambar, choral and hares, as well as waterfowl.

On either side of the path leading to the summit, there is an infinite view on the distant plains, tea plantations, the Moyar River, dams and pasture greens. Frequent buses go there from Kotagiri.

Beautiful falls with walking possibilities nearby.

This summit overlooks a deep precipice of several hundred meters and offers a good view of the plains of Coimbatore.

It offers a picturesque view of Mysore.

A small Hindu temple is located in the middle of these waterfalls. The vast range of undulating landscapes also offers the pleasure of long walks on quiet roads.
