PEPPARA WILDLIFE SANCTUARY

With its rich wildlife and birds, large and small hills, eucalyptus plantations and forests, this reserve is a great attraction for wildlife enthusiasts. Covering an area of 53 sq km in the Western Ghats, it is home to mainly elephants, sambars, leopards, Nilgiri thars, langurs and a few lion-tailed macaques. The best season to visit the park is from January to March.
