In the heart of the Nilgiri biosphere, this park covers an area of 237 km2. It is home to lion-tailed macaques, as well as giant Malabar squirrels, flying squirrels, Hanuman porcupines, tigers, leopards and many other species. The best time to visit is from December to April. Note that 21 tribes still live in the park, 16 of them are known because they grow... cannabis, illegally of course!
