Alvaro Siza's building on the banks of the Guaiba River is worth the trip all by itself! The foundation of the gaucho artist Iberê Camargo settled in 2008 in this new white and refined building in the style so characteristic of the School of Porto. Inside (equally impressive) are the artist's paintings, drawings and other works as well as major temporary exhibitions. This museum of the Iberê Camargo Foundation is undoubtedly one of the most interesting art museums in the country.

Dona Lindu Park is an urban space designed by Oscar Niemeyer. This space is dedicated to the courageous women of the North East and to Lula's mother. It is easy to recognize the style of the great Carioca architect, with its pure and fluid curves. Built as part of a certain desire for urban renaissance in a city plagued by the evils of violence and crisis and inaugurated in 2011, this park, in addition to its green areas, bike paths, skatepark and playground, is composed of an art gallery and the Luiz Mendonça Theater.

Built in 1719, the house has been completely restored and has been home to the Collection of African Memory and Art since 1990.

This former residence of the poet now houses a cultural centre promoting theatre and literature.

For 40 years, the Casa de Cultura Mario Quintana, in homage to the great gaucho poet, has had a multifaceted mission. This former pink hotel (the former Majestic Hotel) has been transformed into a major cultural center by the government of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. It is now 12 square meters dedicated to arts and culture. You go there for exhibitions, concerts and shows, but also for its café from where you can enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets in the city.

Nowadays it is a cultural centre under the supervision of Sesc. Built by the merchant Colonel Aureliano de Medeiros who designed this residence surrounded by gardens. He had the ironwork brought from Germany and the crystal, carpets and porcelain from France. He brought many decorative objects from across the Atlantic to show the owner's wealth. Years later, the building housed the Court of Justice and, in the 1930s, it became the Bela Vista Hotel, one of the most refined hotels in Natal at the time.

How do you go? : The gallery of the Foundation Pierre Verger is situated between the municipal square (where the Lacerda Lacerda) and the plaça da Sé (entrance of the Pelorinho), opposite the church Igreja da Misericordia. To get there, just take any bus that has for Praça da Sé or Baroquinha.
