BECO DO BATMAN
Area of cobbled pedestrian streets, featuring the portrait of Tom Zé by Brazilian street art master Eduardo Kobra
Sampa is a major graffiti city. The great names of Paulista graffiti have decorated the walls of this area of cobbled pedestrian lanes. People come here to admire the scenes they've created and to take photos in front of the large, impressively beautiful frescoes. They are constantly renewed. A portrait of Tom Zé was painted by Brazilian street art master Eduardo Kobra. Crowded during the day, it's deserted at night. On weekends, the area hosts a number of small concerts and bohemian markets.
