Always a classic base of ultra-fresh products, but which, once passed through the hands of the chefs, gives a lively and delicate cuisine, such as the Tasty salmon based on fresh salmon and cucumber. Octopus carpaccios and lobster tartars rhyme with flavor and generosity.

A large and very luminous through room which opens onto a pleasant and large terrace. In a design and arty brasserie style, Les Lauriers is not a restaurant like any other! It leaves room for artists who come to enliven the place with their works and allows the residents of the EMS (Etablissement Médico-Social) to taste the brasserie's cuisine. In this generous atmosphere, a new cuisine is served with more than 300 different dishes of the day each year and suggestions that are in keeping with events and reflect the flavours of the world.

It is one of the emblematic restaurants of the Place du Marché. La Bourse has the charm of the great Parisian brasseries. Style, with its attentive waiters, bright rooms separated by vaults, a brasserie and, in the basement, superb 18th century cellars which house a carnotzet where raclette, fondues and pierrades are served, as well as pizzas. La Bourse also has a fine French brasserie menu with entrecote and home-made chips, sauerkraut and seafood in season, and shallot mitre.

After walking the trails of the Valley's unspoiled nature, or after a snowy winter outing, choosing the cozy atmosphere of the L'Annexe brewery is a no-brainer! The wooded decor, the pewter bar, the curtains and the checked fabrics sublimate the decor to create a warm and cheerful harmony. L'Annexe is more typical and offers simple and good food such as marrow bone and a wide range of fondues (cheese, Chinese, Bacchus, meat). A place that we will not stop revisiting!

The establishment is an institution: difficult to miss during your exploration of the old town. Dating from 1874, it is one of the oldest bistros in Geneva. Did you know that, in the 15th century, its back door gave access to a brothel, located in the rue Chausse Coqs, then known as rue Chausse Cul? The setting is worth a look. Some customers, after having been slutty or not, left their portrait on the walls. Try one of the Swiss specialties: the roesti, or a good entrecote or steak tartare.

In the center of Geneva, the restaurant l'Odéon offers Swiss and French brasserie cuisine in a wood-panelled setting reminiscent of a typical old bistro. Passionate about their craft, chef Benjamin Garin and his team work on products and cooking techniques with rigor and all the creativity inherited from their know-how. Here, the cuisine is a blend of Geneva's terroir and the great tradition of the French brasserie, with a few original touches such as mini-burgers. A beautiful restaurant with a theatrical feel: coffered ceiling, velvet décor, lamps on every table and retro banquette seating. Just a stone's throw from the station, La Bagatelle is open every day with continuous service. The brasserie offers a cosy, modern setting with huge pop-art portraits adorning the walls, breaking with the more conventional atmosphere of the establishment. The house specialty is entrecôte with Bagatelle butter. The range of desserts is utterly appetizing... and not disappointing!

Open since 1861, this beautiful wooded brasserie has not lost its old-fashioned cachet (old bistro counter). Well-prepared French and Italian dishes are served, such as asparagus ravioli gratin or Gotteion trout filet, and of course game dishes in the fall. In the afternoon, you can enjoy the warm and relaxed atmosphere of the terrace. In the evening, you can attend concerts, DJ evenings or football matches on the big screen. It is a real institution in Fribourg.

In a residential area with modern architecture, Le Tilleul offers a gourmet stopover in a resolutely contemporary setting. The space is airy and decorated with colourful touches. Within a multi-functional building (crèche, health-social, hairdressing), the restaurant plays a role of animator. In summer, it is pleasant to sit on the large terrace and let yourself be lulled by the sound of the fountain. Barbecues are on the daily menu once a week during the summer and the menu offers Swiss specialities (malakoff, crust and fondue).

In the old quarter of Martigny, there is a very special atmosphere. Lydie, Daniel and their daughter work together as a family in a joyful atmosphere that can be felt in their dishes. Passionate about travel, they embellish their dishes with delicate touches of elsewhere. You can taste local products such as asparagus from Saillon accompanied by prawns and Espelette chilli. The "bouchon lyonnais" atmosphere is also reflected in the menu with some typically French recipes such as pork chop au gratin or sweetbreads with morels and asparagus.

This upmarket brasserie that welcomes its guests with refinement. If you want a special breakfast or a brunch Sunday, Schiller will offer you a culinary experience of the most pleasant. You can order your boiled eggs, poached or with omelettes. A pancake want? No problem. The menus lunch is also excellent.

Rather banal from the outside, the Byblos, a Spanish restaurant bar, radiates a warm atmosphere once the door has gone, and the kitchen is very good. Hot sandwiches, but also salads, tapas, pasta and meat. Terrace on the sidewalk in summer.

The setting? A reminder of a Parisian bistro with its wooden benches, straight out of another era, originally installed in railway stations. We've taken care of the decor! You can enjoy a good old-fashioned entrecôte-frites, tartare, rib-eye steak, sausage, marrow bone, flank steak or Zurich veal, all washed down with a fine wine. The restaurant combines French and Vaudois cuisine. A large terrace takes over the sidewalk in fine weather, so you can soak up the sun and enjoy your meal at the same time.

The Brasserie de la Riviera, formerly the Café de la Gare at the end of the 19th^century , is the only restaurant in Ouchy to have retained its authenticity. Since March 2012, the place has been refurbished, but regulars have insisted on keeping the furniture that gives it that old-fashioned bistro spirit! Traditional brasserie cuisine is served, but unfortunately it doesn't always live up to the surroundings. The welcome is also rather cold, perhaps because the clientele is mainly tourists. Located in the heart of the old town, this historic café-restaurant changed ownership in 2019. In its beautiful room, you can enjoy both the breakfast served from 9 am and the castle brunches, served on weekends from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm (Swiss, French, vegetarian, Northern, seasonal brunch... or custom-made brunch to compose yourself). On the menu, you will find soups, salads, burgers, savoury sandwiches, meat and fish, as well as proposals for children.

Adjacent to the Grand Théâtre and the Geneva Conservatory of Music, it is ideally located on the Place Neuve. The Café Lyrique is one of the oldest restaurants in Geneva, where artists, bankers, lawyers and even politicians meet, depending on the time of day. In a neo-classical building, the interior is reminiscent of the Parisian bistros of yesteryear with mouldings and painted medallions of illustrious classical musicians. Traditional French cuisine is revisited twice a year to make way for new products.

In one of the oldest pints in Fribourg, regulars come to share one of the local specialities: fondue. Since 1877, it has been served here with all sorts of sauces, with herbs, truffles, goat's cheese... The entrecote with Provençal butter is also a must in the bistro.
