The Biscuiterie de Quinéville in Saint-Vaast, with its pretty store stocked daily, offers not only wonderful cakes, but also a number of local products that we love. There's also a tea room where you can enjoy pastries overlooking the harbour. We particularly like the terrace in summer. Special mention for the caramels, some of the best in the area. Would you like to discover or rediscover the one and only madeleine of Dax? To do so, you have to go through the door of the little shop of Maison Cazelle. With its old-fashioned charm from the beginning of the 20th century and its retro décor, it is one of the oldest in the town. Founded in 1906, this family-run business has built its reputation on the famous madeleine de Dax, sold in pretty blue or pink cardboard boxes. The recipe has been jealously guarded for five generations, and today by Sébastien and Clément. It is a must for all gourmets!

The Védère cookie factory has been delighting taste buds with its cookies since 1905, and is one of the brands that have forged the region's gastronomy. The workshop perpetuates the artisanal production of Pyrenean cookies, lightly flavored with vanilla and covered in crystal-clear sugar. You'll also find boudoirs des Pyrénées, petits buturres, the famous pies available in blueberry, lemon or chocolate chip flavors, hazelnut or almond croquants (to die for!), wafers, meringues, spit-roasted cakes... Gourmandises Médiévales, in Provins, is both a cookie shop and a culinary workshop. The manager of this warm and inviting store, whose fragrances are reminiscent of childhood, brings medieval gastronomy back to life with sweet and savoury treats inspired by the traditions of the Middle Ages: rose products, honey loaves, galettes and marzipans... available individually or in pretty baskets. You can also take part in an on-site culinary workshop.

The Biscuiterie de Chambord is the guardian of a centuries-old tradition based on the love of craftsmanship and a know-how carefully preserved by a passionate staff. Founded in 1999 in Pouilly-sur-Loire, Les Craquants is an artisanal cookie maker offering (as the name suggests!) a very famous hazelnut and almond cookie. Les Craquants was awarded the title of Best Biscuit in France in 2002. Available in several variations, they rub shoulders with Carabiquettes (famous goat's milk caramels), as well as Nevers nougatines and pavés de la route bleue. There's also a pleasant tea room and a fine delicatessen section.

The Chocolate maker highly recommended pastry Georges Larnicol is very famous. His delicious and fresh macaroons, fat-free animals and no taste reinforcer. A delicious taste that is accompanied by kouignettes^® (16 tastes),for maximum pleasure. Difficult say more, Larnicol House also produces pancakes (galettes huffleboard, cookies…) salted butter caramels, marshmallow lollipops.

It is one of the most symbolic and famous companies of the city of the painters, already hundred years old. A whole range of Breton specialities and biscuits has been developed with simple ingredients: Le Gall fresh churn butter, flour, sugar, eggs and know-how. The cakes are of artisanal quality, and are available in different flavours. It is possible to attend the different stages of cake making, free of charge. A tasting of the products is offered.

Founded in 1959 by Hervé Beurel, Biscuiterie is a small family business transmitted from father to daughter. Made on the premises in the production workshop, which is visible to the shop and visible by windows, cookies are without preservatives and prepared with the same recipes for over 50 years. On the menu: Pure Breton cake, nature or cream of raspberry or prune, Brittany Scots, Madeleines, Kouign-amann… Traditional Breton tradition with traditional recipes! In La Lorientaise you will also find artisanal beers, caramel with salted butter…

It is here, in the factory not far from this store, that the famous round, crunchy, golden cake was born, one of the gastronomic emblems of the region! We owe the history of this mythical cake to Joseph Grellier, a baker who kept the family recipe. It is honored in this store of 200 m², with tea room and terrace. Galettes, Roudor palets and other sablés de Retz, Michelettes, are in good place. In the tea room, accompany your tasting with a madeleine or more elaborate pastries. No visit of the factory possible.
