With its name - Beware of the Wolf! - this lake is one of the largest lakes in the south of the country with a surface area of over 1,200 hectares. Supervised beaches in summer, as well as numerous games and sports facilities, make for a busy day. Water sports activities are the main attraction (sailing, windsurfing, catamaran, canoeing, rowing, towed buoys, jet-skiing...), but mountain bikers and walkers, not forgetting fishermen, will appreciate this peaceful setting of lakes, pastures and forests between the valleys of the Tarn and the Aveyron.

A pond that alone warrants a visit, and an after-midi ! This pond at 12 ha offers supervised swimming in the summer and the after-midi ! It has been fitted out, you will find diving boards, pedal boat rentals, as well as the possibility to practice windsurfing and even pêche ! Many games have been provided for children, who will also be able to go for a pony ride.

" The Yacht Club de Pau, under the sponsorship of Titouan Lamazou is first and foremost a cub for exceptional lovers of tradition. It's goal is to share this legacy that we have had privilege, to revive and to offer our members the opportunity to sail on board sailing boats "entrusts the men of this creation. This creation is carried out in an extension of the Association Class America project F 1, founded 6 years ago. This has made it possible for a few enthusiasts to start over the last few years in the redemption and restoration of superb sailing boats from the America class. And the club wants to amplify the movement and bring together béarnais and Basque, sailing enthusiasts, to give them the opportunity to embark on these legend boats.

Integrated into the landscape of Haut-Astarac and irrigated by the two arms of the Arrats, this 150-hectare lake is classified Natura 2000. If swimming is forbidden, it is possible to fish there and to walk, cycle or ride on the paths along its banks. Picnic tables, orienteering and health course are waiting for you to enjoy a day in the open air. The lake is also a bird sanctuary where more than 160 species of birds, including a large number of migratory birds, can be seen. With the Pyrenees in the background, the setting is enchanting.

Neighbours of the Nivernais canal and participating in its feeding, these two artificial bodies of water extend over 275 ha and include an ornithological reserve rich in waterfowl species. The departmental base of Baye allows you to practice various activities. Sailing is privileged, for initiation as well as for improvement, with a school having the approval of the French Sailing School. You can also practice triak, a sail adapted for disabled people (handivoile).

Located in the bed of the Durance, on the municipalities of Curbans and La, this artificial lake was bottled in 1975 by EDF. The water plan is also fed by the water from the leak canal of the electricity production plant which flows into upstream. A 17-metre dam, used to regulate the waters of the Sisteron canal, was built downstream. You can stay in one of the two campsites on the East Bank, on the side of Cubans. Fishing is permitted in certain sectors (see conditions), like canoeing and bathing. Côté la Saulce, its west bank, consists of a relatively steep land dike. During migration in April-May and August-September, many naturist settled and observed birds with long views. The north bank has a relatively quiet plateau.

Close to Clermont-Ferrand, the lake is a breath of fresh air away from the main roads. You'll appreciate the surrounding green spaces, playgrounds and water games, as well as the swimming area, which is supervised in summer. There are also orienteering trails along the Allier River. Picnics and barbecues are also available. Showers and toilets are available for swimmers and joggers. The leisure center offers a wide range of activities: kayaking, canoeing and wakeboarding...

The animations take place on a 1 500 metre 100 metre water plane. State-run monitors set the Parisians for an initiation to the small sailing boats from 420 to caravelle, through topper, laser, laser and optimist. You can also engage in the practice of windsurfing, rowing and canoeing. Adult courses are held on Saturdays from 9 a. m. to 12 p. m. and from 14 p. m. to 17 p. m. and on Sundays from 9 a. m. to 12 p. m., from September to December and from March to July (except holidays). Registrations are made on site. The 12-17 years, for their part, are expected during school holidays. The water base is open Monday to Friday from 9 a. M. to 12 p. m. and from 14 p. m. to 17 p. m. in the Sports Initiation Centres or for one week internship from 9 p. m. to 17 p. m. in municipal sports schools. Attention: provide a 50-metre swimming patent and two identity photos to obtain the registration card.

Fancy a swim and a lazy day on the beach? You don't have to travel miles to get to the coast! At the southern end of the Mervent forest massif, the Espace de loisirs du lac de Chassenon is a must-see leisure and bathing site in the Sud-Vendée region. Sandy beach, waterslide, paddling pool and games for children, swimming, pedal boat hire. Enjoy the bar with terrace and picnic area. A day of swimming in the Sud-Vendée that you can extend with a visit to the abbey at Nieul-sur-l'Autise.

The lake of La Guyonnière extends over 14 hectares. It has a shaded picnic area with tables and benches, games for children. Fishing lovers will have a great time! Canoeing, kayaking or small dinghy and stand-up paddle are available for hire. Hiking trails await walkers or cyclists who can rent bicycles on site. In season, other activities on reservation (from 10 people): archery, Archery Touch, orienteering games, blowpipe.

Built on an artificial lake, this nautical base will delight young and old alike! It's an ideal place to relax and have fun: lazing on the white sand, motorboat rides or, for the more sporty, a fitness trail, canoeing, a bowling green, picnics and lots more activities to discover! Once there, you can even grab a bite to eat between activities. As soon as the weather warms up, you can take advantage of this natural area for a stroll or a game of mini-golf. It's the perfect place to enjoy with friends or family.

How about a swim in the lake and a sunbath facing the Mont Blanc massif? It's a lovely place, with children's games and a restaurant. The beach is open from late May to mid-September, as are the water activities (kayaking, canoeing, paddling...). The lake is home to numerous birds, including grey herons and kingfishers. Need to cool down? Want to relax and have fun with your family? Installed on the Colombier lake in Anse, the Aquapark Beluga is also served by the Chemin de Fer Touristique d'Anse. Set on the water, an incredible aquatic playground of 900^m2. Slides, catapults, floating bridges to cross without falling in the water... In total, 12 inflatable structures - you never really get hurt - to share moments of aquatic madness with friends or family. Refreshment bar and snack to spend a good day.

The Charente Sailing School gives children and adults alike a taste of the joys of sailing on the Saint-Yrieix lake. You can rent catamarans, windsurfers, canoes and mountain bikes by the hour or half-day. Introductory and advanced courses are available on reservation. Finally, around the base, you can take advantage of the many activities available: jogging and mountain bike tracks, playgrounds, handball, five-a-side soccer... Of course, you can also swim in the lake!

Colmar's version of the beach: a vast expanse of sand and a superb, safe stretch of water set in a green setting. Swim lane (150 m long by 5 m wide), paddle, pedal boats: you'd think you were on the Riviera! There's also the super aquapark, which is all the rage with its slides, trampolines, diving boards, climbing walls and other fun, aquatic inflatables. Far from the crowd of the seaside, the lake of Escoumes of Vinça, with in panorama our beautiful Canigó, proposes you nautical activities for the children from 3 years, thanks to a mini-park especially conceived for them. From 6 years old, inflatable games on water will make the joy of the biggest with the Aquagliss. But teenagers, adults and seniors are not forgotten, paddles, kayaks and pedal boats for a lot of fun. The Etang de Gondrexange covers an area of 700 hectares, rich in biodiversity. Numerous activities have developed around the pond, including hiking, cycling, mountain biking and nature observation. Created by fish-farming monks in the Middle Ages, the pond is also a popular fishing spot for connoisseurs who come to track pike-perch, pike, carp and perch. A sailing, diving and underwater sports club has recently opened. For swimming, which is subject to strict regulations, contact the town hall.

Enigma tour around the Gondrexange pond, available online from Randoland or from the Sarrebourg tourist office. A fun family walk of 5.1 km (2h30), with different riddles for 5-9 year olds, based on fishing, and for over 10 year olds on the ornithological wealth of the site.

This is a particularity of the beaches of Dunkerque and of the art of living in Dunkerque. The coastline has 180 beach huts for rent, which are in great demand in summer. They can be booked the rest of the season, at the tourist office of Dunkerque Plage, place du Centenaire, by the week. There are 11 types of them, with different shapes, colors and illustrations. Lake Achard is a favourite destination for summer visitors looking for a little freshness for swimming enthusiasts. If you prefer to fine-tune your tan and bask in the sun, the long beach will allow you to place your towel or deckchair facing the water. And for your comfort, 115 m² of new sanitary facilities, including 21 adapted showers. And to offer swimming choices to all, the pier is equipped with a water chair. Go there with family or friends, for a relaxing moment or a picnic!Bring your mask and snorkel, as the area has a great wealth of aquatic life (carp, pike, catfish, crayfish, eels...).

This site is composed of a lake and a rural camping, with a bar-restaurant. Families can rent pedal boats for a family outing on the lake, and teenagers can try their hand at paddle boarding. And for fishing enthusiasts, the waters are full of fish, so you can indulge in this hobby-passion. The campsite has 16 bare pitches to pitch your tent, caravan or camper, as well as 10 chalets and 4 luxury safari tents.

The La Prade lake is popular with anglers, as well as with the few holidaymakers who have discovered this somewhat secret spot. Many return year after year, seduced by the simple, gentle atmosphere. Its large grassy beach, punctuated by a few trees, makes it a particularly pleasant and beautiful place to rest, read and contemplate. A camping area sits alongside, sheltered by tall coniferous trees. During the fishing season, fishing cards are on sale at the lake's restaurant.

An exclusive place to relax: located between Guéret and the Massif Forestier de Chabrières, this area offers a supervised beach in summer, walks around the lake, as well as physical and sporting activities for young and old, such as windsurfing, pedal boats and more. You'll also find picnic areas and a roller-skating area to round off the activities. All in all, a great day out!

You can practice several water sports such as wakeboarding, water skiing, buoyancy, paddle or pedal boat, but also collective beach sports such as beach volleyball, tennis, soccer, petanque field... Also on the program is a health course and special activities for children. And to eat, there is the Belle Étoile, a guinguette with drinks, snacks, theme meals, popular dances in a friendly and festive atmosphere. This bathing area offers postcard-perfect scenery, with the ^14th-century Saint-Etienne d'Issensac bridge and its listed medieval chapel as a backdrop. The bridge crosses the Hérault River near the ancient priory of the same name, a passageway for pilgrims on their way to Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, a stopover on the Camino de Compostela. Three of the five original arches have been preserved. During the summer, the bathing area is supervised.

Different formulas are proposed (for children too), rentals are spread over half a day, a day, and even the weekend! It is also possible to pay only for the fish caught. The lake of the Orient Forest has been the playground of most of the Trojans. An undeniable asset for Troyes, it is located about 25 minutes away and city dwellers don't have to travel far to enjoy this 2,500-hectare natural setting, which offers dykes, beaches and windsurfing. From March to November, this lake (the largest and oldest of the three lakes on the site), nestled in the heart of the beautiful Orient Forest, is transformed into a real place of life dedicated to swimming and water sports. You will also discover a luxuriant fauna.

Located below the village of Berbezit, the pond is the ideal place to fish (trout and carp), picnic or observing aquatic plants (prêles, sedge) and dragonflies. Small walks are available to fishermen or hikers in a situation of disability (also reserved parking), as well as advance on the pond (fishing dock). Ideal for a pleasant moment in a natural setting, two picnic tables complete the facilities. A interprétation lava interpretation panel gives the "keys" reading of the pond (which already existed in 1753) and whose water used to feed a mill.

Here is a little corner of freshness below the Château d'Hautefort, which will be a great ally for your desire to laze by the water. All in length, the small pond of the Cuckoo is anchored in a green setting. At your disposal, picnic tables, inflatable water games in season, a small beach and even a guinguette to provide you with food and drink! This spot is also very popular with fishermen. It is really pleasant to go around the pond (5 km), on foot, by bike or even on horseback. A fitness trail marks out the route.

Among the many water planes that cross in the drouaise agglomeration, that of Mézières-Ecluzelles is probably the largest and most animated. Around 120 hectares, hikers or fishermen will be happy. The most sporty guests will be able to enjoy the water base and the yacht club of the Drouais country, which has been elected on the water floor (see rates above). The structure allows to make windsurfing, sailing boat and canoe to discover the Eure.

When you finish the walk of the banks of the Eure, the Shiny ponds extend under the eyes of walkers. Around the water plan, a short path along the woods that can be crossed and discovered. On the other hand, the Equestrian Club of the Chimes opens its headway and the noise of hooves rings above the ponds. As soon as a ray of sunshine appears, the edges of the pond are very pleasant for a good nap.

Near Montluçon, the pond of Sault is a little la beach. Beautiful pond, it is especially remarkable by all the facilities that have been made and allows everyone, large and small, to become distracted, but not only: to stay there too! Fishing, sailing and windsurfing, a picnic area, a golf course and a mini-golf area. A pond that, if you land at the Domérat airfield, will allow you to distract yourself and to distract your children if you are in family.

In the heart of the Haut Ségala lotois, the lake of Tolerme is located between the foothills of the Massif Central and the Ségala. With its 38 hectares, it is the largest artificial lake in the department. Created in 1990 thanks to two dams, it is today a real paradise for the fauna and flora as well as for fishing, walking or lazing around. A beach has been developed and swimming is supervised in summer. The walkers appreciate the paths and a fitness trail. Picnic area and water sports.

The 13 hectares and the wooded environment of the Lacoste lake, with its hilly relief, make the success of this renowned leisure base. With free access all year round, you can swim for free in the summer within a perimeter defined by the team of lifeguards and practice aquatic activities such as paddling or canoeing. In July and August, a fine sand beach is set up and the guinguette is open, often organizing theme evenings. Everything to spend a pleasant moment with family or friends!

Facing Mont Blanc, the Passy leisure center offers a multitude of activities. A fine sand beach to access the supervised swimming area and large green spaces, sunny or shaded, to stroll or have fun. The view is magnificent. On the spot, you can enjoy beach volleyball and petanque pitches, a walking or cycling circuit around the lake, a health course and various activities (tree climbing, boating, mini-golf...). Visible from the Bellerive bridge, this new aquatic, fun and sports leisure park is made up of some twenty inflatable modules in the form of a course, accessible as soon as you can swim. Jump, climb, fly, slide, and challenge your friends, always supervised by a competent team in charge of your safety. Perfect for cooling off on a hot summer's day. No reservation required, and accessible even on rainy days. Water quality is constantly monitored to ensure that you take no risks.

Coming from an old gravel pit, the Sauvagine pond was dug on 11 hectares in the village of the three steeples. The varieties of fish are numerous: carp, pike, tench, roach, eel, bream. Attention: to fish, you will have to provide you with an annual or daily card. It is also possible to walk around the pond, in the calm that characterizes the city. The visitors' parking lot has about 50 marked out spaces, from where it is easy to access the pond by taking small paths lined with flowery fallow land.

The lake of Castillon is 8 kilometers long and covers 500 hectares, set between the mountains. Under a blue sky (most of the time) the setting is splendid. A great number of nautical activities are practiced such as kayak, catamaran, water skiing, towed buoy... Night trips are also organized in canoe for the adventurous. Irresistible, with turquoise water, some beaches are equipped and supervised for the pleasure of young and old. Don't hesitate to explore the wild shores and to stop in some of the exotic creeks.

The lake of Bouzey-Chaumousey is located 8 km from Épinal. Fishing and sailing cohabit on this lake. Beaches have also been set up to cope with the summer crowds. For everyone's safety, lifeguards supervise a part of the lake. A magnificent natural site conducive to a moment of relaxation a few minutes from the city. For the sportsmen, a cycle track goes along the canal and connects Épinal to Bouzey, a walk accessible for all levels. A magnificent panorama that will move you in summer and winter.

This stretch of water between the station and the bypass is in fact the result of the extraction of the materials needed to fill in the bypass put in place in 1988-1989, between the "Moulin" and "Bruyères" interchanges. With a surface area of nine hectares, the lake is perfectly equipped for visitors in search of greenery and leisure activities. On sunny days, a refreshment bar appears on the terrace of the latter!

The 12-hectare lake lies just below the village. You can swim there (under supervision) in July and August. You can rent pedal boats, canoes and kayaks, and above all mountain bikes! The lake's mountain bike base is the starting point for five circuits. The most difficult is Mont Gargan (30 km), and the easiest is La Villetelle (5 km). There are also tennis courts, a volleyball court, table tennis and children's playground. Numerous activities are offered during the summer. A pleasant setting.

At the magnificent Jonas site, fishing enthusiasts stalk predators such as carp, perch, zander and pike. A specially designed station is available for people with reduced mobility. You can also hire pedal boats to explore the 27-hectare pond. Please note, however, that swimming is not permitted. In the absence of swimming in the pond, outdoor enthusiasts can take advantage of the bucolic setting and ride their mountain bikes to explore the surrounding area.

A six-hectare lake in the immediate vicinity of Flavignac offers supervised swimming in summer afternoons, except Mondays. On-site leisure facilities include a children's playground, as well as areas dedicated to adults, including petanque and tennis courts. Volleyball and table tennis are available at the nearby campsite. Semi-shaded tables and benches are available for picnics. Fishing is permitted from April to October.
