Close to the city center, this area was developed by the city on former flood meadows in 1978. A beautiful park and an immense stretch of water in the heart of the city, where you can cool off in the summer with a swimming area, picnic, run, sail or canoe. The banks are ideal for wildlife observation. You'll also find a 4-star campsite, the Maison de l'Environnement and the nautical center.

Although it has several bodies of water, the lake of La Ramée is the only supervised swimming area in the area. In summer, you can relax on its 2,000^m2 beach and dive into its sandy swimming area, which is up to three meters deep! In addition to its tree-lined lawn, it is equipped with a first aid station, toilets and showers. Agents and lifeguards ensure the safety of all. A very nice place where you feel like you are on vacation even if you spend the summer in the city, as well as a pleasant place to walk in the off-season.

This 127-hectare lake, with a capacity of 35.6 million cubic meters, is the result of an artificial water reservoir at the Villefort dam, which is used primarily for electricity production - the hydroelectric plant is located at Pied-de-Borne - which explains the variations in water level throughout the year. But it is also a superb natural space, surrounded by the mountain, a formidable ground for many leisure activities: hiking, with 7 km of marked path around the lake, swimming, supervised on a beautiful sandy beach, in the summer afternoons, water sports, with the Grandeur Nature water sports base, a via ferrata, without forgetting fishing of course with Accueil Pêche et Nature which sells cards, equipment, rents boats and can also supervise novice fishermen, or even give introductory courses! The fario trout, the rainbow trout, the minnow and the chub indeed swim in number in the waters of the lake. Canoeing, pedal boating and windsurfing are also practiced on this site, where each corner is dedicated to a particular activity. Be careful, however, the navigation of boats is regulated, all information will be provided at the tourist office. When the waters of this dam, whose construction lasted from 1957 to 1965, are at their lowest, one can also see vestiges of the life of the past, in particular under the bridge of the XIXth century which resisted during the watering of the site. About twenty families, living in the valley, had been forced to leave.

The fishermen of Grillon manage the small rivers of the Enclave des Papes, in the north of the Vaucluse, an area entirely surrounded by the Drôme. The majority of these rivers are in first category fish, and totally reciprocal. To be noted on the commune of Grillon in the heart of the Enclave, the lake of Lez, a site particularly well adapted to many animations promoting fishing. Spills of overcrowded trout. No need to go there for a family swim, it is strictly forbidden.

Want to bask in the sun or cool off in the water? On the banks of the Vienne river, the Queaux beach is a real place of relaxation. On site, there are many activities: games for children, fishing, bowling, miniature golf, volleyball, ping-pong, paddling pool... Swimming is supervised in July and August, in the afternoons. In addition to the picnic area, on the restaurant side, there is also the Guinguette du Renard, open every day in summer (2:30-8:30 pm). On the banks of the Charente, Saint-Macoux offers a very pleasant leisure center for a family refreshment. The little ones will be delighted to slide down the water slide and the parents will be reassured to know that they are safe because in July and August, the lifeguards are watching over them. Fishing (except in summer), children's games, zip line, petanque area, the Marais leisure center promises good moments of relaxation. You can eat at the restaurant of the Marais.

The Lathus outdoor center offers a wide range of activities: kayaking, stand-up paddle, archery, mountain biking, caving, rock climbing, Accro'Lathus, tree climbing, circus, horse riding, Disc'Lathus, hiking, Tèrra Aventura, educational farm... Located 1 km south-east of the village, this is a very pleasant place to fish. It extends over 2 hectares. Of course, trout are the main attraction. On the shores of the lake, you can enjoy picnics and beautiful walks, as this is the starting point for hikes to the Gorges de la Nesque. A GR bridle path joins the GR9, taking you to the ^12th-century chapel of Saint-Michel, which is well worth the detour. In the gorges you'll discover a world like no other. Fields of lavender, Provence's blue gold, stretch as far as the eye can see.

A sandy beach, water, bathers: you are not dreaming, you are still in the Livradois-Forez. The lake and the leisure centre have recently been developed for the pleasure of young and old. With family or friends, you can go for a pedal boat ride, take the time to share a picnic or gather around the barbecue. The more athletic ones challenge themselves on the fitness trail, while the younger ones have fun on the playground.

Located in the center of the village, in the arms of the river Clain, the Pont Creusé lake and leisure area offers a refreshing break. The lake is surrounded by the Dive river and the Fontou stream, with its pretty spring. The estate extends over 22 hectares, including an 8-hectare pond, and hosts a wide range of outdoor activities. What could be more pleasant than spending the day on the shores of Lake Settons frolicking in the water? This is what you can do with your family or friends at the Aquapark: a gigantic inflatable structure dressed in yellow and blue, floating on the calm waters of the lake, awaits you for endless obstacle courses. Equipped with life jackets to be on the safe side, you will be able to take on the slides, climbing walls and other giant trampolines for hours of fun!

On the banks of the Dordogne, a Unesco World Heritage river, Pelouse Plage is a recently opened bathing area accessible to all, including people with reduced mobility. There's also a sandbank for children to build their own constructions. The site is well equipped for families with baby carriages. Swimming is supervised in season, and there are floating inflatables to keep both young and old amused. Feeling a little thirsty? Don't hesitate to visit the bar at Les Batailleurs campsite.

A leisure area, spread over 18 ha, developed on the water with a nautical area to enjoy the joys of swimming and an environment conducive to fitness. This lowland river rises at Fontaine-de-Vaucluse and flows into the Ouvèze after 32 km. It is the most regular of the department's small rivers. Its waters, long used to run mills (paper, flour and madder) and spinning mills, are now used for agriculture and leisure activities such as fishing and canoeing. The clarity and quality of the water, and its constant temperature of 13°C, make it a first-category river. Its waters have long been renowned for their trout.

For a peaceful stopover between two days of sightseeing, visit Lac de Montaubry, located near Le Creusot, in the commune of Le Breuil. This vast, winding lake with its sandy beaches is very bucolic and wooded. This lake, built on the stream that gave its name to the village, is usually put in water around mid-June. This pleasant stretch of water in the middle of the forest is an ideal destination for a day out with the family, or a late afternoon romantic getaway to enjoy the setting sun.

In the heart of the Basque Country, close to the villages of Bidache and Sames, you'll discover a well-equipped water sports base that has nothing to envy the infrastructures of the coast. On a 24-hectare site, including a 14-hectare lake, the base has a beach reserved for supervised swimming in season, sheltered picnic tables, chalets for hire, an 894 m² inflatable course (35 modules), slides, paddle rentals, a waterski lift... The Great Lake Clairvaux-les-Lacs beach has an asset that differentiates it from others: a dive, at the end of the pier. Only 4 on-site diving sites exist in France! In 1945, the construction of the jetty was begun to create improvised swimming facilities for sports structures. In 1948 a dive on the pier by the commune was prepared. In 1997, the structure was consolidated with metal structures with today 3 supermounted fountains in platforms (3 m, 5 m, and 7.50 m). A rescue station is located nearby. A beach chair for disabled guests is available. The waters of the Grand Lake and the fine sandy beach are the ideal place for a summer stop in complete safety: the site is well maintained and bathing is monitored. It is possible to sail, rent a canoe, a mountain bike… Playground, children's games, picnic area, snack and restaurant, everything is planned for a pleasant day.

Water Glisse Passion is a water ski club located in Roquebrune-sur-Argens, in the town of Les Issambres. They offer a range of water sports activities including water skiing, wakeboarding, baby skiing, towed buoys, no-licence boat hire and pedalo hire. The watersports center has been awarded the Famille Plus label, which means that it offers activities suitable for families and children aged 3 to 12, supervised by qualified staff and using appropriate equipment. Located in the commune of Plessé, on the Etang de Buhel, Wake Park Plessé is a leisure park specializing in water sports such as wakeboarding, water skiing, wakeskating and kneeboarding.
