Read moreEstablished in 1977, Rillé Lake is now an important water recreation centre located midway between Bourgueil and Château-la-Vallière. No activity is forgotten: sailing, sailing, boat, but also tennis, mini golf… For amateurs, an exceptional ornithological reserve in the part of Des, whose 220 ha are protected and classified by the Council of Europe. A three-star campsite offers the visitor the conditions for a pleasant stay. However, the interest of the village is not limited to these activities: at the northern exit of the village, a broken arch door recalls the importance of Rillé as a strong place from the th century, and one part of the ramparts that surround the whole. Two curiosities remain to be noted: 4 km west of the agglomeration, "the three dogs", strange alignment of menhirs, and the farm model of the Briche, now abandoned but which was a pioneer in the distillation of beet for the manufacture of sugar; it was awarded by Napoleon III before closing, in 1905, defeated by northern competition.
