This lake is located between Coëx and Saint-Révérend. A place that the fishermen know well since it is authorized to fishing. This lake of 37 hectares was created for the irrigation of the cultures and the Golf of Coex. The compacted clay dam, built on the Gué-Gorand stream, has created a water reservoir covering more than 25 hectares. A footpath allows you to walk around the reservoir by crossing the dam. You can see a very old chestnut tree with two trunks. The circuit of the lake of Gué-Gorand (12,9 km, approximately 3h30 of walk).

Without doubt the most emblematic beach of the island... On this adorable little beach of the Ladies, a seaside art of the beginning of the 19th century remains, largely reinforced by the white wooden beach huts which border it. Embellished by the proximity of the Bois de la Chaize, embalmed from February by the mimosas in bloom, the Plage des Dames, the darling of the Nantaise and then the Parisian women, remains the most exclusive beach of the department. It was the location of the film " Le Petit Nicolas"; beach and shops were revamped for the occasion.

Covering an area of almost 10 hectares, Lac de Carouge offers a multitude of activities to suit all tastes, from diving into the water to paddle-boarding adventures. At first light, sports enthusiasts meet up for a morning jog, while idlers look forward to the afternoon. The shores of Lac de Carouge offer an ideal haven of peace, between sunny beaches and hiking trails.

Located in Saint-Piat, the Naturaquatique nautical base is a 17-hectare site offering a variety of aquatic and outdoor leisure activities. Just 10 minutes from Chartres, it's the ideal place for a getaway with family or friends. Activities on offer include flyboarding, towed buoys, banana boats, jet-ski baptisms, as well as electric boats and pedalos for exploring Swan Lake. In addition to these activities, Naturaquatique focuses on preserving the region's flora and fauna.

Aquaviva, a superb imitation of Total Wipeout in the USA! With family or friends, the Water Jump water park is located at Lac de la Cavayère, 5 minutes from the medieval city of Carcassonne, and boasts XXL inflatable games, giant slides, trampolines, catapults and obstacle courses covering an area of no less than 6,000 m², and is a real hit with young and old alike! Fun, exhilarating and... exhausting, this park makes you want to try it all and come back again! It's scary, it's adrenalin-pumping, and that's what we like! We appreciate the efforts made every year to improve the park with new features. You'll be equipped with buoyancy jackets, so you can set off in complete safety, supervised by six qualified lifeguards, with floating plates installed - a great success for this attraction, which involves going as far as possible without falling into the water. Practical: valuables can also be stored in the reception chalet. Aquaviva, a must-see attraction in the département, to share with friends or family!

Lake Champos is in the heart of an estate of more than 40 hectares where you can enjoy the various pleasures of a large leisure centre. Family swimming in optimal water quality, diving from the pontoons, windsurfing, pedal boat, large water slide (for a fee), fishing, etc. The Champos lake is also a starting point for horse riding, hiking or mountain biking to discover the paths of the Herbasse. The lake is now pedestrian for the nature and peace of the site! Also on site: a campsite.

A few kilometres north of Marvejols, near the Château de la Baume, this small lake has been designed for leisure and relaxation for both small and large. Many facilities allow you to spend a pleasant day: a restaurant, wooden chalets, a aquaglisse slide that makes children happy. It is also the foundation of Gevaudan's nautical club, which offers many activities: canoeing, pedal boats, sailing school… Swimming is monitored from July 15 th to August 15 th. The Beau Rivage beach is the private and family beach - and certainly the most pleasant - of the lake of Paladru. Located near Dijon, this bathing and leisure area is built on a former sand pit. The water quality is good and the temperature varies between 20 and 30°C. Supervised swimming and activities for youngsters, mini-park with inflatables, motorcycle circuit, trampolines and playground. Pedal boats, canoes and paddles are also available for hire. Enjoy the refreshment bar and L'Ombrelle guinguette, with live music on Friday evenings.

The Aubusson lake has been awarded the Blue Flag since 2020 and offers many pleasures: relaxing on the lawns and on the beach, supervised swimming, environmental awareness activities, pétanque, soccer, volleyball, bicycle rental, playgrounds and orienteering courses. Canoe, pedal boat and paddle are available for rent. Nearby, marked trails are accessible all year round. Discover the fauna and flora in a playful way on the Saute-Ruisseau path, thanks to enamelled lava panels.

If you'd like to discover the joys of a wide range of water sports, the Base Nautique de La Villette is the place for you. Activities take place on the basin between Stalingrad and the Pont de Crimée. State-certified instructors introduce Parisians to a range of water sports. Rowers have a wide choice of boats at their disposal: oars, double canoes and individual kayaks. Cleverly, free introductory courses are offered on Saturday mornings.

Easily accessible, the Bellevue lake and its direct surroundings offer many leisure options for young and old: fishing, health course, walk towards the beautiful Sivens forest, tennis, playground for children... Practical, the place has toilets, picnic tables and a camping-cars area. Its vegetation also creates a choice setting for long naps by the water. It is a great viewpoint when the fireworks season arrives.

With a surface area of 410 ha, the lake of Neuvic is fed by the stream of the same name which has its source on the plateau of Millevaches. The development of the lake, following the construction of the upstream dam, was the work of Henri Queuille, a politician who was several times President of the Board. The site has been awarded the "Blue Flag" and "Handiplage" labels. Numerous aquatic activities (sailing, water skiing, and outdoor activities, golf, children's games) are practiced there. Without forgetting fishing. Swimming is supervised in summer. The sailing school is open every day in July and August, it offers courses and equipment hire: optimist, canoe, windsurfing, catamaran, dinghy.

In the Natura 2000 zone, the site of the lake of Charpal irresistibly evokes Canada. Its very particular history (the lake was supposed to shelter ammunition between the two world wars and a railroad had been built there), its forest, planted in the 50s, made it a unique place sheltering a rather exceptional fauna and flora. A path has been set up and you can walk or mountain bike along the almost 9 kilometers of the forest, which are decorated with educational panels on the environment. If fishing(no kill) is allowed, swimming is forbidden.

This village is worth the detour for its 600 ha water plan, 60 million^m3 intended for agricultural irrigation. It is the largest low-water basin in the South-West. A little more than 70 ha are reserved for the tourist activity. Since 1984, the lake has been rapidly colonized by birds. 195 species nest on its banks. A site suitable for leisure activities: walks, mountain biking, picnics, sailing, canoe rental. A sandy beach stretches along the water's edge for the great joy of summer visitors.

The lake has a surface area of 32 ha. There are many aquatic activities such as kayaking, windsurfing, pedal boats, optimist, fishing…

This water body located in the heart of the Gauge plain allows you to enjoy a healthy walk, to practice canoeing and kayaking upstream of the dam and to fish in a second category river. Discover the birds, insects and local flora that lurk along the way.
