The lake is a pleasant place to be in any season. In summer for its beach, in autumn for walks to the nearby forest.

Situated on the edge of the Châtellerault state forest, the lake offers a pleasant space for walkers. In summer, swimming is permitted on the lake's beach, which is popular for its many activities. Paths and picnic facilities are also available. With a surface area of 532 hectares, the forest offers a natural heritage ideal for walks and sports, with several signposted forest health trails (4, 6 and 12 km), a bowling green, children's play areas and a beautiful arboretum with 62 species on a 1.5 km trail.
