LAC DE L'ASTARAC

Integrated into the landscape of Haut-Astarac and irrigated by the two arms of the Arrats, this 150-hectare lake is classified Natura 2000. If swimming is forbidden, it is possible to fish there and to walk, cycle or ride on the paths along its banks. Picnic tables, orienteering and health course are waiting for you to enjoy a day in the open air. The lake is also a bird sanctuary where more than 160 species of birds, including a large number of migratory birds, can be seen. With the Pyrenees in the background, the setting is enchanting.
