A history is needed! As early as 1964, Hubert Mons decided to sell on the markets. In 1983, his son Hervé, trained in Paris with the greatest cheese makers, opened the first shop in Roanne and in 2000 he became Meilleur Ouvrier de France. Thanks to his excellent know-how, the company thrives, develops in France and abroad, and in a short period of time supplies the most famous restaurant tables. Today the Mons company has 3 ripening sites, 1 dairy production unit on the Côte roannaise, 250 cheeses in permanent ripening, 1 international training centre and 10 sales outlets including the original Montbrison cheese dairy... a chance!

In 2020, Ferme Bertholet celebrated its 100th anniversary! It was created by Pétrus, the grandfather of Rémi, Bruno and Hervé. Rémi takes care of the animals: dairy and suckler cows, pigs and lambs, and of the 150 hectares of crops and pastures! Bruno and Hervé, with their team, transform the products at the beginning of the week to offer them for sale from Thursday. It couldn't be fresher! The products are guaranteed free of colouring agents, preservatives and additives and are EEC approved. One more reason to buy your meat directly from the producer!

Jasseries are farm buildings typical of the Forez mountain pastures, used to make cheeses such as rigottes and fourmes d'Ambert and Montbrison. Here, you'll also find cheeses from all over France, Great Britain and Holland, rigorously selected for quality. Looking for an original cheese? Opt for the Camembert, a beer-aged cheese from Brasserie de la Loire, the Claousou encircled by its spruce strap, or the succulent Brillat-Savarin with truffles!

The Baret cheese dairy has been a family business for 70 years: created in La Talaudière by grandmother Marcelle, it is now her granddaughter Laetitia who runs the cheese dairy in Saint-Etienne. With its electric blue front, it is modernising, but you will still find a very wide choice of cheeses, more and more from local producers in short circuits. Privilege is given to tradition, the Protected Designation of Origin and the people who work in the respect of their trade. Cheese by the cut, personalized trays or butter, yoghurts and white cheeses, the creamery-cheese dairy is a passion! Two other shops in Firminy and Saint-Chamond.

Formerly known as Espace Freshness, this store at the turn of a large area is a real corner of paradise for all lovers of cheese and dairy products! The Enseigne offers an incredible choice of county, picodon, marcellin, reblochon and of course our inimitable D of Ambert or Montbrison or the delicious Brique brick. Just next door, you can stroll through the rays filled with aromatisés yogurt and lactés desserts. You will also find the butter, milk, all the daily products you need. La Fromagerie des Hautes-Chaumes - Fromagerie artisanale de Sauvain has been perpetuating ancestral know-how since 1999. This artisanal institution produces the famous Fourme de Montbrison PDO from raw milk, using traditional methods handed down from generation to generation. This passion and tradition are carried on by Hervé Mons, Meilleur Ouvrier de France, who took over the reins of the cheese dairy in 2020. Its success is due to its high-quality milk from cows fed on local hay and careful maturing in natural cellars. The result is a blue cheese of incomparable finesse and taste.

Cheesemakers from father to son for three generations, the Perrin family has been advising you on a wide choice of quality cheeses, and makes pre-cut boards for your aperitifs, and even mounted pieces where the layers of tomme de brebis, morbier, comté, fourme de Montbrison, brillat-savarin or saint-nectaire follow one another. In addition to the Bellevue sales outlet, the Fromagerie Perrin is present at seven markets in the Loire, and will invest in the future gourmet halls of Saint-Etienne so that the inhabitants of the city centre can also enjoy them.
