Jean-Marie Bechtold is at the head of this 12-hectare farm, which has been certified organic since 2010. Part of his parcels are cultivated in the Grand Cru Engelberg, a rare terroir of oolitic limestone. A disused quarry that cuts through the hillside provides a glimpse: over a depth of 30 meters, the geological strata constitute an exceptional terroir. If the Rieslings coming from the Grand Cru Engelberg are famous, another terroir is interesting: the place called Obere Hund, very favorable to excellent Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir.

Since 1888, this family business has been transforming fruit into drinks and bottling them. It diversified its range in 1953 by creating fruit juices. Today, more than forty products are offered: pure juices (apple, grape, pear, apple-mango, apple-quince...), organic juices (organic tomato, beet, blueberry...), based on concentrate, nectars, syrups and cider with fruits coming from Alsace, processed on the spot and sold in the store. You can drop off apples and leave with juice and cider, at a preferential rate.

In Alsace, charcuterie and butchery are no joke! Founded in 1830, this is a benchmark address in the region, which has managed to retain the tradition and good taste of yesteryear. Particularly popular here are butchery specialties and dishes of the day unjustly neglected: pig's trotters, calf's head, offal, game birds and furry game... When you don't have time to market, here's a good address from the producer to the consumer who avoids moving. Every week a basket is delivered to you, filled with vegetables or seasonal fruit harvested the day before, products 100% organic. Maison Lips has been awarded the Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (Living Heritage Company) label. Painted by Roland Perret, its façade features a mix of pretzels, bredeles and lebkuchens. The museum is housed in a tithe barn dating from 1756. It displays thousands of objects linked to gingerbread, bredalas and chocolates for St. Nicholas, Christmas and Easter. Legend has it that a unicorn dipped its horn in Saverne water, making it perfectly pure... And water is a main element to make good beer, so obviously, what a wonderful place to set up a brewery! The structure was founded in the 18th century and was taken over in 1845 by the Schweickhardt family. From a craft brewery, it became an industrial brewery and since 1989 has been part of the Karlsberg Group. Today, the Licorne brewery is constantly innovating to offer you new beverages in all its ranges.

It is Arthur Ostertag, son of André (a very talented winegrower and poet at heart) who has been running the 15 hectares of this beautiful family estate since 2018, which has been biodynamic since 1998. The vines are mainly planted in Epfig (plots on the so-called Fronholz and Pflanzer sites) where the estate is established, but also in Itterswiller, Albé, Ribeauvillé (Clos Mathis) and Nothalten (Grand Cru Muenchberg, Zellberg and Heissenberg sites). Arthur Ostertag passionately makes spontaneous, precise and pure wines, with a predilection for pinot noir (Les Jardins Ostertag 2018 is a little marvel). During your visit (by appointment), he will also be pleased to offer you a tasting of L'Exutoire 2017 (a blend of Riesling and Sylvaner) and the Riesling Grand Cru Muenchberg 2018 (great mineral finesse). Ostertag wines are enjoyed by oenophiles all over the world and are adorned with labels designed by Arthur's mother, the painter Christine Colin.

The estate comprises 14 hectares of vines in Itterswiller, Epfig and Nothalten. Cathia and Jacky welcome you to their cellar, with its charming vaulted stone door and colorful stained-glass windows. Here you can taste 4 ranges of wines: Traditions, Vins d'exception, les Terroirs and Vendanges Tardives. These excellent vintages, such as the Pinot Noir 2020, which won a silver medal at the Colmar competition in 2021, can be purchased on site. You can extend the experience by renting a gîte: enjoy the wines without worrying about the return trip!

This family estate, which covers 10 hectares, is run organically by Yvan Zeyssolff, who produces attractive wines such as the Klevener de Heiligenstein, vinified and aged in amphora. Yvan and his wife Céline have also created a delicatessen, Au Péché vigneron, a tea room, a dining bar and 5 gîtes (4-7 people) of high standing. You can also enjoy an immersive visit with a projection on the tuns, this offer has been awarded by the Trophy of wine tourism 2022.

The Heiligenstein pastry-chocolate shop is the paradise of the sweetened lovers of delights: here, the creativity is master word and one unceasingly endeavours to surprise and fill the gourmet ones by imagining new recipes. The chocolate candies Heiligenstein guaranteed 100% pure cocoa butter were preceded on several occasions these recent years, the such chocolate "Feeling" with the fruit fool of passions. A range of chocolates also was especially designed for the diabétiques ones. The macaroons are divine, perfect to accompany a tea or a café. The cakes and pastries do not have as for them not their similar, especially if you wish to make personalize a dessert for a birthday or a special event: you will arise from the shop with a work of art! Created at the foot of the cathedral in 1570, Strasbourg's famous Christmas market now extends to several parts of the city. It is made up of villages and themed markets.

The vineyard of this estate is located on the Schieferberg, a very old terroir composed of Villé schists. Directed by the master pastry chef and ice-cream confectioner and chocolate maker Philippe Volck, this tea room pastry shop is one of the most pleasant. The delights on offer are tempting: the three-chocolate festival, the strawberry-rhubarb dome... The Cave du Roi Dagobert takes its name from its location on the territory of an ancient Merovingian palace. Throughout the year, it offers various wine tourism activities (film screenings, cellar visits and commented tastings, rides through the vineyard in a trailer pulled by a tractor, "food-truck" weekends, etc.). The Cave du Roi Dagobert brings together 250 winegrowers from almost 1,000 hectares of Strasbourg vineyards. The terroirs and grape varieties are very varied, and the store is a veritable Ali Baba's cave for all lovers of good wines.

Mathieu Kamm is what you might call a "pastry stylist"! After managing the Pierre Hermé boutique in Tokyo, he returned to Alsace to take over the reins of the family pastry shop with his wife Mina. A member of the famous Relais Desserts since 2018 (the year he also won the Gault & Millau Grand Est pastry trophy ), Mathieu Kamm signs high-flying delights: cakes, petit fours, cakes, macaroons, chocolates, ice creams and other delicacies!

Since 1542, the Rothgerber family has always devoted itself to the cultivation of vines and to arboriculture. About fifteen varieties of apples are produced here in organic farming and the fruit juices, bottled on the spot, are all declined around, sometimes decorated with original ingredients (quince, elderflower, mango) 100% natural. They are regularly awarded at the Concours Général Agricole. A producers' store and a bakery-restaurant complete the offer.

Nicknamed the Kirsch Valley, the Val de Villé is a high place of distillation. Héritière, the Héritière of this ancestral know-how, is home to the premises of the Legoll Company, a distillery seeking to perpetuate tradition, producing quality spirits thanks to the care of the fruits used. In a picturesque décor made of huge copper vats and stills, there are classic productions as well as special vintages, aged years in des casks or flasks. Among these, a council, taste the one that contributes to the best reputation of the house: wild raspberry: a pure treat! But also late grape grapes, quetsches, kirschs… The house also offers some 80 jams - and jellies - cooked to old in copper tanks, without any colours or preservatives.

Managed by Julien Beck, who succeeds his father, and his wife, this family business cultivates 10 hectares of vines. Always respectful of biodiversity and with controlled yields to accentuate the expression of terroirs, the domaine will offer its first vintage under the organic appellation in 2022. The domaine has been awarded several medals and celebrated in wine guides and magazines. This year, the labels are more modern.

It is a know-how that dates back to 1925. Located in the heart of the village, the Hirsch family's house produces and markets its foies gras. Resulting from their own production, their poultry are fed with quality products. The establishment also offers a home-made production of rillettes, fresh or smoked duck and goose products, stuffed quails, duck breasts stuffed with foie gras... A selection of Alsatian wines, jams and preserves complete the range.Baskets with fillings are made on request.

Boofzheim is a small town in the Bas-Rhin department of Alsace. Visitors wishing to do their shopping will find a Super U and Drive on the Rhinau road. The Alsatian company offers professionals and private customers everything they need to make savory or sweet flammekueche: tart shells, cream, bacon and fruit. Flamm's Heim also takes care of the cooking system, selling and renting (cook included or not) ovens for tartes flambées and pizzas. To accompany this, Flamm's Heim offers a selection of beers: 5 L, 6 L and large kegs.

Asparagus, strawberries and tomatoes, squash and pumpkins, radishes, salads, carrots, celery, cabbage, potatoes, mirabelles, blueberries, apples: these are mainly "homemade" products. The Maurer farm shop also offers fresh bread, foie gras, jams, dairy products, Alsatian tea, flour, honey, mustard, beer, lemonade, Alsatian wines, apple juice and cider, not to mention an excellent choice of meat and sausages, all provided by about twenty local producers. In addition to the shop, the Maurer farm has a friendly restaurant where you can enjoy local products and specialities: sauerkraut, wild boar and beef on the spit... The Ruff family has been cultivating vines since 1886 through four generations. Located at the foot of Mont Sainte-Odile, their 15 ha estate (in the process of obtaining High Environmental Value certification) is spread over 4 very distinct terroirs, including La Grange. Situated on the Heiligenstein bank, the Weinberg is mainly planted with Riesling and Pinot Gris, while the Schwendehiesel is entirely dedicated to Klevener (or pink Savagin). As for the Fronholz of Epfig, it is mainly planted with Riesling. A great specialist in Klevener (it is in Heiligenstein that this 8th grape variety of Alsace was planted and recognized in 1742), the Ruff estate produces many other wines that are regularly praised by specialists. This is the case for the Crémant d'Alsace Cuvée Prestige (Gold Medal of the Crémants of France), the Riesling Fronholz 2018 (Gold Medal at the Concours des Vins de Colmar) and the Gewurztraminer Vendanges Tardives 2016 (Gold Medal at the Concours des Gewurztraminers du Monde). Other beautiful cuvées of the moment recommended: the pinot gris Cuvée Barbara 2019 and the Klevener de Heiligenstein Schwendegiesel Vieilles Vignes 2019 (Gold Medal at the Concours des Vins de Colmar).

The estate is located in an old mill, named Thomanns Muehle. Today, it cultivates 35 hectares of vines, part of which are located on the Grand Cru Steinklotz terroir, which is clay-limestone and south-facing, and warms up very quickly in spring. We practice here the reasoned viticulture, the wine making is done in stainless steel tanks, but some vintages are raised in the famous wooden tuns of the Cellar of the Civil Hospices of Strasbourg. All the Alsatian grape varieties are vinified here, as well as crémants whose reputation is well established.
