Markets Bas-Rhin

Created at the foot of the cathedral in 1570, Strasbourg's famous Christmas market now extends to several parts of the city. It is made up of villages and themed markets.

Here, it is above all a place of life and meeting beyond a market: go there to soak up this traditional atmosphere. You will find many food products if you want to shop. You will also be able to take advantage of the plethora of exhibitions and animations orchestrated, as well as the restaurant which is supplied on the spot. The merchants present vary according to the season and there are always new things to discover: fish, meat, vegetables, handicrafts... In September, a gastronomy festival is organized.

Every Tuesday and Friday, a delightful market is held in the beautiful hop hall, one of the town's must-see buildings. It's well worth the detour, with its stalls of all kinds and its old-fashioned atmosphere. You'll find many local producers with whom you can learn more about the region's must-sees and, why not, exchange a few cooking tips. In season, of course, asparagus is a must, but you'll be amazed at the variety on offer. Artisans are also present.
