In the Kalelarga district, in the heart of the old town, right next to Forum hostel, this traditional Mediterranean restaurant serves you professionalism and smile. Fish salads and soups, pizza, grilled meat and fish, but also pasta and risottos to seafood or vegetables. Nothing very original, but regional dishes to good value for money. 

The Bruschetta has an excellent location. From the terrace you can see the foundations of the Roman walls. A romantic dinner in perspective, if you are lucky enough to have a table with a view of the waterfront at sunset. The interior is elegant. If the place has immediately acquired a good reputation, it is also for its quality Italian and Dalmatian cuisine. Large toasted sandwiches, of course, but also pizzas and other fresh homemade pastas such as ravioli with sea bass or its squid ink risotto.

Rare are the occasions to sit at the foot of a church! This is the romantic experience (especially in the evening) offered by the terrace of this restaurant, located on a quiet square, in the direct vicinity of the radiating chapels of Saint Chrysogone. On the menu, traditional Dalmatian cuisine, land and sea, full salads, lots of grilled meats and copious formulas to share (platters of fish, shellfish or grilled meats) served with southern vegetables or blitva (mashed potatoes with chard in olive oil).

This restaurant has a good reputation for its generous food, with a lovely terrace overlooking the salt marshes. Groups of French tourists come here regularly for tastings of local wines, accompanied by Pag cheese and smoked ham. This is the typical Dalmatian dish to which the island is world-renowned! Otherwise, try the big salads, grilled meats, fish simmered in wine and herbs, grilled fish and squid, squid ink risotto, whole lobster... There's plenty to choose from!

On the marina, in a rustic setting, all wood and stone, the Konoba Vapor is a good restaurant. You will be served on the terrace, after the preparation of the cuisine of the generous Dalmatian fisherman. On the menu, smoked tuna as a starter, octopus salad, fresh fish, squid accompanied by southern vegetables, all grilled to perfection and drizzled with olive oil. There is also the black seafood risotto, coloured with squid ink, tagliatelle with mussels and shrimps or lobster. Service well done and smiling.

Set back from the port, where the many restaurants don't shine by their originality, the tavern stands out. A restaurant with inventive cuisine and an excellent reputation. So book in advance. Grilled meats are well prepared. Medium-rare cuts are carved at your table. The same goes for fish or prawn gnocchi, with cheese and fresh truffles, grated in front of you. In the more economical bistro formula, with local wine, cheese planchas, charcuterie (pršut), antipasti, olives, aromatic herbs and homemade bread.

Opposite the cathedral, on the small square, the waiters at Trapula Wine & Cheese, this friendly wine bar, are busy during the day, but the rush comes at aperitif time. Here, you can enjoy a platter of Pag sheep's cheese and local charcuterie, washed down with a local red wine. This is often the formula ordered. Authentic atmosphere, bringing together locals and tourists, always in good spirits. A perfect option for a gourmet aperitif! Reservations recommended.

A little away from the port, this restaurant enjoys a panoramic view of the river banks. Varied local cuisine, Dalmatian antipasti, grilled meats, cevapcici, lamb prepared under peka, sautéed asparagus but also fisherman's plate, freshwater fish, grilled eel, assortment with white fish fillet, shrimps and lobster in sauce) or a sea risotto. A vegetarian dish as well, and for dessert, the Skradinski torta, a cake made with almonds, nuts and chocolate from the region. Book a table on the terrace!

This is no small bistro, but a top-rated restaurant in Vodice, one of the resort's best addresses. With its ideal location on the marina, its terrace and unobstructed view of the quays, it offers a good marine atmosphere. The indoor dining room is equally pleasant. The menu features top-quality Mediterranean cuisine, grilled fish and octopus, fresh pasta and risotto, burgers and complete dry aged meat dishes. There's also a fine list of local wines and exceptional olive oils.

It is the most popular restaurant in the historical center, appreciated for its pizzas and fish dishes. The management has set up rooms on the first floor of the building. Comfortable, rustic and modern, they are suitable for families and tight budgets. Sporting activities can be organized, such as cycling, rafting, photo safari in a jeep in Velebit, horseback riding, excursions, sea trips, walks around the lake (Vransko jezero), where you can observe the birds

This konoba (not to be confused with Tri Bunara pizzeria) has become one of the city's most popular restaurants. With dine & wine added to the establishment's name, you can feel the taste for new combinations in the kitchen, while still using traditional Dalmatian recipes( braised beefpašticada and vegetable marinade with gnocchi). Local produce such as figs and cranberries are used in the sweet and sour sauce and the sweet and sour sauce around the meat. Fresh homemade pasta is revisited, and the desserts are excellent.

In this restaurant, the walls have been renovated, the decoration changed but the general atmosphere remains classic, the quality of the dishes and the tight prices are maintained. Southern salad, skewers (house specialities), grilled fish or fried squid with the famous blitva (chard and mashed potatoes) or chips, pizzas over a wood fire, local wine, everything is good until caramel cream (dalmatian rožata) or chocolate cake !

Right behind Pet Bunara Square, this konoba passes to be one of the oldest restaurants in the city. The specialties of the house: The fresh fish grilled with blitva, the seafood plateaux in sauce, the gnocchis pasticada sauce accompanied by wine… A musical ambience on the weekend and summer.

At Entrance II, in the center of the park, this café-bar-restaurant lives to the rhythm of the national park. Self-service or table service, for simple cuisine based on local dishes. Try the trout with vegetables, for example... For hikers and walkers on the way back, hot and cold drinks, ice creams, sweet crepes and pastries are available. Live music. The view of the upper lakes from the terrace is splendid, but the exclusive restaurant charges high prices.

The church Ostatci crkve Stomorica gave its name to this restaurant. On the terrace, on the lovely plot, you appreciate the calm of a meal away from the crowd. À la carte, classic Adriatic cuisine: fish, crustaceans, risotto in seiche ink, grilled meat or the famous pašticada, this Dalmatian beef dish mired with sweet sweet sauce and served with gnocchis. You can also order a glass of wine (good cellar) with a dish of sheep cheese and prosciutto crudo from the region. Regularly, musicians come to animate the evening.

In the south of the island, Opat Bay is one of the archipelago's best-known maritime entrances. On the harbor, the restaurant's terrace looks out over the sea and the islands opposite. Mooring berths are available for guests (at an extra charge). Here you can order cold drinks, with or without alcohol, Croatian beers and white wines. A catering service is available, but there are no menus and the bill is very high. Fisherman's cuisine, of course: grilled scorpion fish with baked potatoes, lobster, carpaccio of the day's fish, sushi, gratins.

The restaurant was built in an old private house in Vrulje, the largest fishing village in the Kornati, where even today there are only about 50 houses. The owner is known throughout the archipelago as a good octopus fisherman and cook. His specialties include octopus in goulash or Venetian style, fresh fish carpaccio, Dalmatian plate (smoked ham and goat's cheese) and grilled meats. As is often the case on the islands, prices are much higher than on the mainland.

After a long hike in the national park, it is a pleasure to return to the coastline of Starigrad-Paklenica. As the name suggests, the Miramar's elevated terrace offers an unobstructed view of the sea, which is much appreciated at sunset. The well exposed rooms for rent with balcony also benefit from this view. In the kitchen you can enjoy local dishes, seafood, fish, meat with grilled vegetables or the traditional bliva with a good mushroom omelette.

This establishment immediately found its public. Is it the modern, elegant decor and the pool that give you a little VIP feel? Is it the thematic evenings that attract so many people? Here, no cocktails, but a beautiful regional wine list and good beers. On the kitchen side, fish dishes - excellent quality tuna steak -, grilled meats, burgers, including veggies, black risotto, fresh pasta, with salads and wok vegetables. Vegetarian plates as well. Very friendly service but not very long waiting time. The price of success!
