The storytellers meet the public, young and old, in the town squares to share their stories and legends. The magical heritage of the Gorski Kotar/Lika region, nature, the mysteries of the mountains, forests and castles, but also the tumultuous history around Ogulin and folk traditions. A true intangible heritage, this oral folklore has been enhanced by the authors of children's stories, Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić and Priče iz Davnine.

Just after the Dalmatian Song Festival, the historic centre is once again in jubilation. It is the return of its great annual event, which the city prepares well in advance to best organize the medieval festive atmosphere. Musicians, singers, dancers, jugglers, craftsmen, all in period costumes, participate in parades, demonstrations, escrow shows, street arts, not to mention gastronomy, wines and local products.

Fort Punta Christo near Pula is no longer big enough to accommodate all festivalgoers. But it is not the end of the Seasplash Festival, which has taken up residence in Central Dalmatia on the island of Martinska, off the coast of Šibenik to the delight of ska, reggae, ragga, dancehall and other fans. International artists but also Croatian because the Jamaican style is very appreciated here. The administrative capital of Dugi Otok Island, in the Zadar Archipelago, has a long tradition of fishing but also a reputation as a lively place to live. For almost 50 years, a great folk festival has been organised on the port, where old games are revived. Donkey races, traditional music, including themužika ofthe Sali donkey, played in cow horns, tambourines, songs and dances, fish meals for all and guaranteed friendliness.
