This is the oldest cannery in Concarneau and also one of the oldest in Brittany. That's why it is today an integral part of the cultural and gastronomic heritage of the city! The products are authentic and the traditional recipes have remained unchanged for over a century. To go further, visit the museum for free. And to finish in beauty, a small tasting is necessary... Why don't you let yourself be tempted by a scallop confit or an organic salmon soup?

While in Quimper, it would be a shame not to visit the Kinkiz cider house. In this manor, you can follow all the steps of the cider and apple making. We discover here the most beautiful successes of the cider factory. And the rewards are numerous. Heir of a real know-how, Hervé Seznec perpetuates here the long family tradition. Georges Larnicol is the best chocolate pastry chef. He likes designing beans in different forms - rocks, pebbles... and to show it for a unit, in boxes, baskets and even in impressive sculptures! Well beyond south Finistère, is evidenced its many shops scattered throughout France, the delights of Maître Larnicol are not unknown to fans of chocolate delicacies. Close to these, whose flavour fineness can only over joy the most demanding palate, the kouignettes®. They come in different flavours you could give anything for and capsize the elegant... Difficult to say more. But Maison Larnicol is also pancakes (palet biscuits, cookies...) salted butter caramels, lollipops that are presented in many flavours.

In the Loup Gourmand you enter Brittany greedy. The house is known for its unique choice of Breton beers: more than 150 references from the 60 listed breweries. It was formerly called «The house of the 100 Breton beers». In fact, when you pass the door, you are immediately impressed by the quantity of bottles dividing the walls from the floor to the ceiling. White, blond, elliptical, brown, organic, hops or black wheat, small bottles or large containers, they spoil beginners and connoisseurs, who sometimes come from very far. The house also offers a huge offer of Breton liquor and food specialities at very good prices. In 2016 a website is in gestation to present all this.

This is probably the largest cellar in Brittany with its 800 m 2 of thematic spaces and discoveries of all kinds. A veritable temple dedicated to Bacchus in an innovative and particularly attractive setting. You will find about 1 500 references of wines, from France or the World, but also from alcohols (from the most classical to atypical) and 80 references of bag in box. Not to mention a bookstore, regional products, gifts and other items that can be used in a cellar, professional or individual. The first oyster farm on the Bélon, the Oyster farms of the Château de Bélon were created in 1864. Today, the oysters of Bélon, flat or hollow, are always of great quality. Note that the Huitrières have been approved as an oyster farm as part of their "Bienvenue à la ferme" label.

DISTILLERIE DES MENHIRS

Liquor store
4/5
1 review

Guy Le Lay is a magician! But it runs in the family, he is a worthy and talented representative from a long line of distillers. One needs to discover his latest splendour, "Eddu Silver", an original whiskey which is made from Breton buckwheat, and only buckwheat, which is quite unique in the world. The divine drink exudes an aroma of vanilla wood. In the mouth, it is a selection of fruity flavours, hints of honey and spices. Added to the range, a little brother, the blended whiskey "Eddu Grey Rock" and the prestigious "Eddu Gold". Also cider, lambig AOR produced here since 1921 is available in two versions, standard (3 years old) and old reserve (7 years old). The Pommeau de Bretagne AOC also declined in two versions, standard (2 years old) and old (4-5 years old). Pommeau and lambig were regular award winners at the contest of Général Agricole de Paris. A huge establishment.

This is an amazing fish shop in Faou! Run by Thomas Le Bourhis, the fishmonger's offers fish, shellfish and seafood platters. So far nothing original. A catering service, provided by Marc Rousselet, completes the offer of this shop by proposing rillettes, terrines and other dishes of the day that will mix flesh and fish. To take away, but also to be tasted on the spot, especially in summer. The welcome is adorable, you feel good and you don't want to leave. A nice place before discovering the Crozon peninsula.

Breiz for Brittany and island for these Antilles dear to the heart of the Brothers of the Coast, the appellation weave a bridge of flavours between those two places of the world that our favorite buccaneer love so much. It is in the secret of their distillery that they handcrafted handcrafted their punchs macerated in the purest tradition of the Caribbean. Cut fruits, syrup, spices and Antillean agricultural white rum, it takes about two months of maceration to develop the divine nectar which has several perfumes. The main ones are Pineapple-orange, Bananas, Pineapple-lemon, Passion, Red Fruits (strawberry, redcurrant and blueberry) and Christmas Punch (pineapple, orange, coffee). After the two months of maceration, it is a soft punch only 24,6 °, a subtle taste of fruit and a hint of vanilla flavour found in the beautiful bottles proposed by Breiz'Ile. Established on the spot since 1898, pioneer of the oyster farming in the Abers by making from the beginning the choice of the best parks, it serves since the best tables of France, for a success which never stopped. Their oysters, by staying at Prat-Ar-Coum, acquire their singular and subtle flavour, unique character of the Abers.
