Finally, not quite because the brand existed in a shop version in the halls of Quimper, before moving at the end of 2018. Lovers of good beers from all over the world will be delighted to find ten different types of beer every day under pressure. Recently, biodynamic natural wines have been added to the list. We like to accompany our glass with a sausage, land or sea rillettes, or a plate of oysters. We will appreciate the two atmospheres, at the counter or on the mezzanine on the first floor, with cosy armchairs and mismatched furniture but where design is king. Clever: all draught beers are available in a galloping version, to favour tasting!

Maja Café-Brocante is the audacious project of three friends who are just like the rest of us. Motivated, funny and full of energy, these three welcome you in a relaxed atmosphere. Come and enjoy sweet and savoury waffles, as well as drinks. And here's the best part: all the decor is for sale! Come away with whatever catches your eye. There's something for every taste, but it's all good vintage! A real plus: the shaded terrace at the back, for a relaxing spot in the very heart of Brest.

The concept comes to us from Catalonia, and has quickly been adopted by Quimper residents of all ages. The principle is simple: you come alone or with friends, and choose the ceramic model you'd like to paint (cup, plate, mug or bowl...) For two hours, you let your creativity and imagination run wild. The atmosphere is friendly and cosy, ideal for relaxing! To make sure your work lasts, it will be annealed. Your work will be available a week later, or can be shipped to your home.

Opened in 2022, Cocorico has become a not-to-be-missed bar in Brest thanks to its original concept, which focuses entirely on French popular culture! The blue-white-and-red decor is filled with retro posters and collector's items, while the friendly atmosphere is ensured by a warm welcome, French music and the two indoor pétanque courts, which are never empty! At the bar, 14 hexagonal beers are available on draught, while on the catering side, local produce is showcased in a simple but quality cuisine, where everything is homemade. Bands will appreciate the pods, reservable tables where you can listen to your own music!

All styles of music, propelled by local production companies, pass through the mythical Salle du Vauban, which is over 50 years old! While the hotel and bar-brasserie overlooking it have undergone successive renovations, the concert hall has remained the same since 1962, with its retro mosaics and old posters of stars... But make no mistake, it's a lively place! An estimated 150 concerts are held here every year! In fact, the hall and bar have played host to a host of music and film stars. Initiated by the Scène Nationale de Brest team, Le Quartz's artistic activities have confirmed its reputation as a cultural hub for the region, propelling it into the top tier of national stages in France (outside Paris). Located right in the heart of the city, this major arts venue covers an area of 20,000 m² and houses two theaters, one of which seats 1,500, a 400 m² exhibition gallery, and function rooms seating up to 350. Le Quartz's programming is eclectic and multicultural: theatrical performances rub shoulders with dance and circus shows. There are also classical, jazz and world music concerts, as well as major exhibitions. Le Quartz welcomes virtuosos and renowned talents. Please note: Le Quartz has been temporarily closed since the end of 2021 for renovations. The reopening is scheduled for early 2024. In the meantime, its programming is nomadic. Les Gâteuses is the story of two long-time friends who share a dream: to open a business together. And to our delight, it's a tearoom offering some of the best cakes in Brest. La Petite Poésie celebrated its 10th anniversary in September 2023! In the heart of the city center, this café-bar lives up to its name: here, quotations and a portrait of Rimbaud adorn the rough-hewn walls, while a mechanical bird flies over the counter. Situated close to the Place de la Liberté, their terrace attracts the youth of Brest, who come to the "Petite Po", as it's called here, to chat and have a drink in a warm atmosphere. If you're feeling a bit peckish, you'll be delighted with their hearty platters, unless you prefer their French fries with cheddar or paprika. We appreciate the young team's warm welcome and the many events organized throughout the year.

The owner offers wines from all regions of France, purchased directly from producers. We like his selection of natural wines with mineral notes. You can also drink local beers. As for the restaurant, everything is homemade, practically made in front of you. Izee is the incarnation of contemporary coffee: a marriage between coffee shop and restaurant. The idea is to work directly with organic ingredients, so that "eating fast" rhymes with "eating well". There are many choices available with a menu that follows the seasons. As original as it is convivial, axe and shuriken throwing is guaranteed to give you a thrill, to be discovered with friends, colleagues and even the whole family, with Ninja Kids sessions on Wednesdays. Located in the Saint-Martin district, not far from the church, this pub is a Brest institution! It takes its name from the warblers that chirped in the trees of the Saint-Martin wood in the ^17th century. With its old-fashioned facade and wooden half-timbering, giving it the air of a tavern, it offers a warm decor and welcome. Considered by some to be the best beer bar in town, it's a meeting place for many gangs of friends, and all generations gather here for a pint. Definitely a place to go for an aperitif "à la brestôase".

Brest after-work bar and even during the day, let's not take shortcuts! This establishment offers you a bar and restaurant service (simple menu and the dishes are well presented). Visit the Tara Inn for great pleasures. This real Irish pub in the harbour, is an ideal address. Around a pint of Guinness, O'Hara, or Ermine, Tara invites at its Irish sessions evry first Friday of the month, at fest deiz every first Sunday of the month after 3pm and the fest noz every Monday from 9pm. Unless you can't visit unannounced during concerts! But every day, inside or on the terrace, a warm and friendly atmosphere is guaranteed, and complete change of scenery. Also note that Tara Inn offers a dish of the day at 8 € and some dishes at lunchtime during the week.

This pub, located at the bottom of the rue de Siam, more Celtic than exclusively Irish, offers a wide choice of beers (including 13 different types of pressure mixing Breton beers and Irish cider) but above all a typical atmosphere. The hall sometimes turns into a concert hall, when an Irish music group settles in the back! You will also appreciate its terrace, with a small view of the harbour.
