Things to see and do Côtes-D'Armor

Set on the land of Rosanbo, one of the largest areas of Brittany at the time, it is one of the most spectacular castles in Brittany by its impressive architecture and its magnificent gardens created by Alfred Duchêne famous landscape of Vaux-le-Vicomte park. Its construction begins in the th century, so it is a fort castle near Saint-Michel-en-Strike to ban the lifting of the Bô River from the sea to hostile troops. Built with pink granite, its bell tower is made up of a dome and a pyramid-shaped steeple from the 17th century. From the village of Plougrescant, it is possible to take a nice walk, where you will see other houses nestled against venerable granite masses.

The tower of Kerroch offers breathtaking views over Paimpol and its bay. It was built in 1873 by Bishop Nightshade. Emblem of the commune, the Tower of Kerroc'h fest located at the top of Krec'h Mahaf (or Mazé, Mathieu). It offers an exceptional panorama on Paimpol Bay. To access it, just take the road from Ploubazlanec, at the exit of Paimpol. Before reaching the village, the tower will be on your right.

The tourist office of the very pretty Little City of Medieval Character is located in the same premises as the Maison de la Chouannerie and of the Revolution, but is expected to move soon to 500 m. It proposes to give you all useful information for a successful stay in the country of Moncontour, be it accommodation or restoration, by competent and competent staff. At the departure of the Tourist Office, this 8.3 km loop invites you to discover the Country of Guingamp. The trail begins by presenting the city's heritage and history by bringing you to the Ursulines cloister and chapel before joining the major Guingamp buildings: the castle of Pierre II and the abbey of Sainte Croix. The path goes away to reach the Trieux River Trail for a natural moment. You will then take the height to admire the city as a whole, before returning to the center. If the length of the path scans you, the circuit can be shortened into a 5.4 km loop (Circuit of the Plumber). The Abbey for the Basilica of Notre-Dame and the Center Square will then be required.

On the road to Tréguier, this farm offer the opportunity to participate in farm work or rent a donkeys for a ride. Children will love to see the animals of the farm: goat, pig, hen, sheep, cock… You can also walk a small white rabbit in wheelbarrow! You'll find valuable tips for discovering Trégastel and its surroundings. The office sells hiking maps and pretty holiday souvenirs: posters, postcards and other snow globes bearing the effigy of the local resorts. Its ticket office allows you to reserve your places at the aquarium as well as many other leisure activities and guided tours of all kinds. You can also rent electrically-assisted bicycles at low prices.

Departing from Paimpol station, this old-fashioned looking train, pulled by a period steam locomotive, takes a bucolic railway track along the superb Trieux estuary. Along the way, you will discover elegant manor houses, pretty bridges and the beautiful forest of Penhoat-Lancerf. The stop at the Maison de l'Estuaire is enlivened by a show (magic, theatre, music, tales...). The train stops in Pontrieux, where a guided tour is offered. If you take the one-way ticket, you can return by boat, on board the Passeur du Trieux.

Located at Port de Dinan - Lanvallay, Maison de la Rance offers a discovery of the Vallée de la Rance on a new day. From 2010, the museum got a facelift. Interactive models, sound effects, smell boxes, simulation of tides: a permanent exhibition to be discovered while enjoying the natural and cultural heritage of a “maritime river”. This natural house also offers nature excursions accompanied by an entertainer, who on foot, on a bike or by boat will take you to listen to birds and observe the natural environments surrounding you.

This is an original way to discover Pontrieux, from the river. Lasting 25 minutes, this guided and piloted walk, aboard a boat equipped with an ultra-quiet electric motor, will take you from downtown to the port. You will admire about fifty recently restored wash houses along the river. Each bourgeois house had one of them. You will learn more about the history of the city, from where the linen cloth produced in the area was once exported.
