English-style landscaped gardens sloping gently down to the Jaudy at Trédarzec
Listed as a Remarkable Garden since 2005, these English-style landscaped gardens were created in 1965 by Russian painter Peter Wolkonsky, on the grounds of a former farm overlooking the Jaudy. Purchased in 2021 by the famous shoemaker Christian Louboutin, who has preserved its very soul, the estate comprises 18 hectares sloping gently down to the river. Each space has its own color palette and character, whether Mediterranean, tropical, Asian... This romantic and enchanting setting is home to over 5,000 species of plant, some of them extremely rare.

Je n'ai pas visité ce lieu pour la bonne raison qu'on indique ici "Fermé temporairement". Or ce n'est pas précisé sur le site du jardin, qui donne l'impression que c'est ouvert actuellement. Si l'on se réfère aux différents avis des visiteurs, on se pose des questions sur l'état actuel du parc. On espère que des travaux sont en cours, qui expliqueraient la longue fermeture. Par ailleurs, le prix excessif d'entrée de 12 euros rebute (par rapport au domaine de Trévarez, par exemple, ou, surtout, au fabuleux jardin Delaselle de Batz). Parallèlement, on apprend que l'actuel propriétaire du lieu, le chausseur Louboutin, vient d'entrer dans le club fermé des milliardaires. Il pourrait faire un petit effort pour les amateurs qui n'ont pas sa fortune.

Arriving at the ticket counter, we achieved a an outstanding heartly, friendly welkom. Each visitor got an 3-5 min explanation about the garden and its plants by the fascinating ticket lady who really impressed with her huge knowledge of biologie. With her enthusiasm she set the visitors on fire even before they start their visit. We really felt personnally welkom. Thank you!
The park is an equivalent to south english gardens. It is relaxing and with its ideal size not overcharging to walk through in about 90-120 min. He shows a huge biodiversity and a successful mixture of arboretum, perennial garden and ponds. The entire complex is harmonic.

Schön angelegt, aber Ende September recht wenig zu sehen. Im Frühjahr wenn alles anfängt zu blühen wahrscheinlich richtig herrlich.
Der Eintritt von 12 Euro pro Person finde ich grenzwertig.
Die Toiletten am Parkplatz sind sehr sauber gewesen.
