BRICKMARKING
Read moreThis particular place symbolizes the meeting of the past and present: the building renovated and reinvented for modernity dates back to the nineteenth century! In this former tuilery-brickyard, there is now a museum documenting the history of the bay: fishing on foot, gardening and the activity of the brick of course, but also a space dedicated to temporary exhibitions of contemporary art. Much more than a museum, Briqueterie offers many animations during the summer: giant games for the young public, musical siestes, sculptures of sculptures, street art, multimedia facilities, art workshops, treasure hunts… The easiest thing is to go there.

LA PAULINE
Read moreLa Pauline is a ship built in 1901, and resembles the first lobster vessels from Loguivy, rigged in bocq or sloop. Dahouët and Saint-Jacut are probably the only ports in the bay of Saint-Brieuc where you can still find flambarts, in the first half of the 20th century. After the First World War, the port's activities slowed down and these boats gradually disappeared. It is on board a replica that it is possible to go for a walk at sea, to play hide and seek between the islets of Bréhat or to push as far as the Channel Islands. Given the importance of the tides in Dahouët, the boat takes you on trips of 3 hours, 12 hours or... a few days. Time to take the helm, learn the manoeuvres and the rudiments of navigation. Between occasional crew members and longtime sailors, the current is flowing right away. Conviviality is at its best.

OFFICE DE TOURISME DU KREIZ BREIZH
Read moreThere are many tourist attractions in Kreiz Breizh, but to help you identify and choose them, do not hesitate to visit this tourist office: it will give you a friendly and competent welcome. Several points of interest concern the canal from Nantes to Brest (let us mention in particular the Glomel lock scale, which can be reached by canoe). But many other natural sites, such as the moors of Locarn, the gorges of Corong and Toul Goulic, are worth a visit. This wooded territory, dotted with valleys, moors, chaos and forests, offers beautiful hikes. For fishermen, there is no shortage of water. The built heritage is not to be outdone, with in particular the abbey of Bon-Repos or the parish enclosure of Kergrist-Moëlou. It should be noted that the office has created two geocaching tours, a fun way to discover the territory: one takes you to the Faoudel valley, the other to the Lan Bern moors, a nature reserve by the canal. It is possible to rent a kit with GPS, binoculars, magnifying glass, etc.

A tour allows you to discover the history of the town, by walking through its streets and its numerous alleys: from the Middle Ages (fortifications and a gate still exist) to the flourishing period of the 17th and 18th centuries, when the town was an important centre of the Breton cloth manufacture, which is attested by beautiful private mansions of cloth merchants. Various walking, horse riding or cycling circuits are possible in the surrounding area. Don't miss the Chaos du Gouët, one of the key sites in the area!
BUREAU D'INFORMATION TOURISTIQUE
Read moreLocated between land and sea, Pleumeur-Bodou is an authentic and contrasting commune. Of course, we come here to enjoy the coastline and its magnificent landscapes, never the same because of the amplitude of the tides. But it would be wrong to neglect the interior, which includes castles, chapels and many hiking trails, whose maps and descriptions you will find here. Ask also where are the sublime coastal moors of Bringuiller, on the Landrellec peninsula: you will go there for a walk before visiting the Planetarium or the Radome, a historical monument, the first antenna intended for intercontinental links via the Telstar satellite, in 1962. Don't miss the Ile Grande and its varied landscapes, between marshes, dunes and granite quarries. A 7km marked trail goes around it, in about 2h30.
